2010 335I e92 or 2009 G37 S?? Which to get?
Right now I have a 07 335I e92 with 36000 miles and thinking to get a 2010 white one with all the same features, comes out to like 50,000 plus taxes.
But I test drove the G37 S coupe and when I used the shift paddles on that thing it haled ass, but when It was in drive sport mode, it didn't feel as quick. but thats car is like 42,000 plus taxes. My trade in is about 30,000 and I have parts that I would take out and put into the new 335I if I get that one. What would you guys do? what do you think? G37 S and turbo it? 335I and chip it and intercooler it? |

I have a strange feeling you may get a biased opinion on here.
Coming from a G35 to a 335i, there is no comparison. The Infiniti is trying very hard to be what the BMW is. But falling slightly short. My old ride |

i wish i had pics of my 06 G35 coupe sport but infiniti is a great car dont get me wrong. My 3 year lease was just up on the infiniti this past july. I just ordered a 010 E92. But there honestly is no comparison between the G37 n the 335i. My friend has a 08 G37s paddle shifters are dope on it but 335i's will eat G37s for breakfast lunch and dinner ;-)

dude fist off. a 335 with a chip will walk a G37 with a turbo. 2nd its not even a fair comparison. i mean the only thing you gotta think of is $$$$ if u can afford the extra $10k then go with the bimmer

Why waste money on a outdated car? It will be replaced in 1-2 years if you grab a 2010. Just keep the car and grab a new one in 2012, you will save money on a car you will wish you never bought in the first place.

Why spend 20k just to get a 2k10...anything wrong with the 2k7? It's kinda weird since I saw the list of things the 2k10 does not have which the 2k7 does. It's more than I thought, such as residual heat. The marginal benefit imho is just not there. You spend 20k, and you get the same car only 3 years newer. Then 3 years later, another 20k. And after 10 years go by, a Boxster S goes down the drain and the process repeats.....
To answer the OP's question, I wouldn't want to step down from a 335 to a G37S, for another 12 grand. I wouldn't want to spend 20k to get the same car with less features. What I would want to do if I just had to spend 50k is probably to get a used Cayman S. |

Thanks, I need to look into what the 2010 doesn't have that the 07 does have.
No big problem with my 07 model, just 36K miles and BMW knows I modded the car so they don't want to service it. But my warranty is not voided. |

I'll play the devil's advocate here. The G coupe is a sexy ass car. The exhaust note is sweet and no HPFP to worry about! Plus, its cheaper. If I didn't have the need for a four door, I probably would have bought a G35 coupe instead of my 330i. You are comparing apples to oranges though.

I just sold my 2008 G37 S. I loved the car, but what I always wanted was the 335i, I didn't want to spend the money so I bought the G, but after a year and a half I figured it was time to step up, so I picked up a 2009 335i coupe last month.

I switched from a 04 G35 cp to an 08 335i cp. I really liked the g35, i'll admit to that. Depends if u wanna save the 10K. If you have the 10k then go for the 335. btw i did test drive the g37s and i really iked it...good throtle response and exhaust note, but didnt like the shape (personal preference).
i dont think u'll go wrong with either one. frankly waiting for the 2012 bmw, im not sure. the way BMW is going with the front facia due to new EU requirements (just look at the 5 series touring and the z4) im not sure if i will ever buy a bmw if they flatten the front. In the end, it about the $, if u can afford the 335, go for it. |

Here's a solution. Keep your modded 335i that has super low miles already and spend the $20k the newest model would have cost after depreciation of your current ride and buy a used G35 coupe. You can get a pretty nice one for $20-$25k!

As for the G37, I don't think it's even in the same class as the 335. Infinitis have a lot going for them on paper...but in reality they are just Nissans with big engines and lots of electronic gizmos (which is okay if that's all you need). But they are not luxury cars in a true sense of the word. |
