Sinsheim Technik Museum
Sinsheim Technik Museum
Museumsplatz 74889 Sinsheim (Germany) http://sinsheim.technik-museum.de/node/27 Hours of admission The Auto & Technik MUSEUM SINSHEIM is open on 365 days of the year from 9am to 6pm. Saturday & Sunday open till 7pm. Cost 13 to 18 euros per adult The Museum Sinsheim is without a doubt my favorite German car & military museum! It is open 365 days a year! And has an awesome collection of cars, planes, trains, tanks, engines. IF you consider yourself a motor-head you gotta get you butt over to this place!! Sinsheim has the British Concorde AND the Russian version side by side! They also have a sister museum in Speyer. It is there they have things like the Russian space shuttle and 747’s! And btw… they have a real U-boat there too. Everything you can climb up inside and have a real close up look! TECHNIK MUSEUM SPEYER Am Technik Museum 1 D-67346 Speyer Phone: 0049 (0) 6232 / 6708-0 http://speyer.technik-museum.de/en By car The Auto & Technik MUSEUM SINSHEIM is situated directly along the Autobahn A6 (exit 33 Sinsheim or exit 34 Sinsheim-Steinsfurt) between the cities of Mannheim and Heilbronn (South Germany). Clear signs and directives will lead you straight from the Autobahn to our extensive, free car- and bus parking facilities. Heilbronn is the nearest major city. Sinsheim Museum is just off the A6 Autobahn (Sinsheim Ausgang #33), near where the A81 & the A6 intersect. Btw… I took these photos three weeks ago – when I visited the museum. You can see how BIG this forklift is next to my ONE. A hell of a garage door! Sinsheim’s sister museum in Speyer, just south of Heidelberg area. 30 min away by car. America’s Blue Flame world speed record car An F50… And… another(!) F40!! Hitler’s armored car! Maybachs… Maybach pickup truck anyone? Lambo Jeep… Time capsule… This 356 was donated as the owner wishes that the car remain this way and not repaired! Some sweet BMW’s… I wonder how much a new grill could cost? I bet $$$! NSU 2,000cc ONE cylinder engine! How BUG things get to the museum… Rommel’s Africore… Radio room... And… as in all good museums… the tour ends at the museum gift shop! I hope you enjoyed my favorite museum in Germany! Btw... Sinsheim also has a sister museum in Speyer - just 20 minutes away South of Heidelberg. http://sinsheim.technik-museum.de/node/1327 Dackel Last edited by Dackelone; 02-19-2011 at 04:07 PM.. |

I went to this museum right after checking out the Porsche museum, and to be honest I wasnt a big fan of this one. Its super cluttered, almost like they collected too much stuff and tried to stick all of it into a small building.
There were still some cool things to see there. The Concord was one of my favorites. I took some shots there, I need to finish editing them one of these days. http://www.flickr.com/photos/amnphot...7616636643535/ |

The family and I had a great time when we went there back in 2007. But then they had to drag me through the car section since I was stopping at every car and drooling. Great pics.

I've been there in 2011 with some friends from Texas. Quite a nice place, and also has some BMWs sometimes

When I went last year the Miura and the Tyrrell weren't there.
Great otherwise.

Sinsheim is STILL one of my all time favorite German Museums to visit! I highly recommend visiting Sinsheim!!
They also have a sister museum in near by Speyer(20 minutes away). Plus Speyer is a very nice city to visit and walk around in. Here is my writeup on Speyer's Brazzeltag from last year. Brazzeltag Speyer Technik Museum Pictorial http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=986019
