How much do you really love BMW?

So for everybody out there, quick question. Just want to here some opinions or too hear you laugh at me. Who would buy a car, drive it for a matter of days and leave for another country for an additional 6months and no get to drive your car? Would you if you got a heck of a deal and really wanted the vehicle? ...my boss said i should have waited to find a better deal but ive been looking ever since i got back to South Korea and havent found a better deal yet then the one i got. So am i a fool? Crazy? Or just dumb

Does your boss run a BMW Dealership part time?

Personally, I'd wait until I get back in town.

I found this:
http://www.google.com/finance?q=GOOGLEINDEX_US:AUTOBY

It looks like now is normally the period in the cycle where sales volume declines. In six months, it would at around the same level but at an increasing trend.

With that said though, what deal would it take for you to buy now? To me, if you buy now, you will be making car and insurance payments for something you're not using for half a year. However, if you buy six months later, consider that you will be near the switchover for the 2012 F30. At that point, there will be pressure to dump the 2011s, or you can sign up for the F30.

Anyway, that's just me

It would be foolish to buy now. Plans change. 6 months turns into several years.

It doesn't matter if you get a "discount" now. There is always a discount.

Are you AF? I'm asking cause I am and I did the Korea thing.....and I left two cars in the states for the year I was there. I think USAA may offer quite a bit lower insurance if you are overseas and your car is in storage? But then again, maybe you'd have someone driving it while you're gone?

Either way, I agree you should wait. You never know if your mind will change during that time. And it gives you something to do while you're over there (besides drinking cause that's all there is to do ). You can search and do a ton of research and be sure what you want to buy when you get back.....

Well I'd be lying if I said I didn't make special trips to my garage just to look at my car throughout the day even I'm not driving anywhere.

Actually, I'm going to go look at my new 335i again right now before bed, smell it and feel it a little bit, then wake up (hopefully early), and drive the hell out of that thing while taking the longest routes possible. I should also mention I will be blasting electronic music, my bimmer is always in rave mode.

So I would guess the sharp spike was from the cash for clunkers... It would be fun to look at this timeframe in regards to the respective automakers and see what people searched/ bought the most.

You must think in terms of your warranty just wasting away for 6 months. That's no good!

There is always a "deal" and there is no shortage of BMWs of every model. Wait until you get back.
