i have the previous version not the v2 with out the adjustable setting and i love it! my friend had it on his e60 545 and he passed it on to me.
it was an easy install 10 mins and the car is a night a day difference! definately worth to buy it!

Nope.
Investigated SB, Burger BMS Power Box, Swiss Chiptech. One shop recommended Burger to me. But for my NA engine only 10+hp and 10+ torque, seems like not worth it. May be for the turbo engines, much more increase. Another thing is our cars are too new. No one wants to mess with the engine before the warranty period.

I would not touch the engine, just too many thing go wrong unless you planning to keep the car for year or 2 then yes mod the engine. just add the SB, I just cant not live with out it. Put it this way I would not drive my car if there is no SB installed. |

All the 3 brands I investigated are plug and play. Just take it out before going back to BMW.
The worry is the F10 software seems like a mess . I had 3 transmission malfunctions before 2000km driven. Just don't want to add any chip now. May be let other bro try it on their F10 first.

More interested in aesthetic mods than performance mods now.

is that with the new 8 speed transmission. well like you say they are plug and play so if any thing dose go wrong just take it out and go back to BMWHK to fix it, after all it is under 2 years warranty. |

pingu, any comment on this thread?
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=461127 Never tried SD before but seems like the E90 bros recommend BMS more.

that sound a bad thing because when I test drove the F10 528i in nomal and sports mode the very was very smooth.
I would get it checked out if it jerks alot. Dose it jerk on down shift going up hill? if it dose then it will be the gear box needs to get a software update or rest the gearbox computer. |

Yeap, that's what I meant. 2 yrs warranty and 1 yr maintenance package.

Apart from those mentioned, you might want to see if the brand velocity is available in hk. I have installed it in my ride, plug n play with 4 setting modes.

a guy sells this on the e60 forum which the price is OK too. I was going to get this before I got the SBv2, many say the max setting is very mad, with loads of wheel spin for the 535 and 550 |
