Thinking of getting rid of my car
Do you think its worth getting rid of my car for an E60 M5?

Yea gas prices are definitely a killer right now. I just love the way the M5 looks and the sound of it sounds so amazing in my opinion. Obviously I'm not buying a new one. It would be one that was still in warranty.

went from a e46 M3 to a e60 M5. Miss the e46, but love the comfort and sportiness of the e60. V10 is intoxicating.
Tuner, you've seen my car. I don't regret my decision, and yes MPG is bad, but manageable. Especially if you have a beater or use the metro, etc. Just know what your getting yourself into financially, and do your research for the right car. Its a buyers market and there are plenty of good deals out there.

Been there, done that, got the t shirt, and came back to the n54. The m5 (e39 and e60) both have leas torque than a tuned 335, weigh more, absolutely drink gas, and cost more to maintain and mod. The only real mod for the e60 that compares to the gains of a 335 tune is the dinan striker motor for $30,000. Save your money and buy a house or something.

Pat, talk to Clem on here. Check out this regional forum for pics of his car. Silver e39. Sexy as hell and great guy to know since he's a fiscally conservative modder. He does his own work and is very good to work with.

06s tend to have too many gremlins and issues. Mine is a 08 and it's been solid. So far I have 47k miles on it and still going strong. I did buy the extended maintenance and warranty though-that put a dent in my pocket. Lol.
