Kerscher Front Spoiler

I participated in the Kerscher Front Spoiler Group Buy sponsored by Brian of Echelon.

The piece itself is nice. Came properly boxed with 1 page instructions in German and mounting hardware. The spoiler came with drilling marks for mounting. I did not find that they all really lined up but perhaps its because I wanted to use the factory screws in that area. I ended up using a row of factory mounting points and then a second row using the supplied harware.

Install wasn't hard. I used ramps. Fitting the nuts onto the bolts was time consuming because there was little room to get your hands in there. I taped the nuts to the hex wrench which helped with the tight spaces.

PS - having a second person helps to ensure proper alignment.

I give it a 9 out of 10 - because of the mounting points.
I give Brian of Echelon a 10 out of 10.
I give it a 10 out of 10 for looks......................judge for yourself.

Thank you Brian.

Thanks, I'm happy with the end result.

It's not as pretty as some of the other ones, being more of a traditional splitter look which I personally like. It's also the better priced option.

While I don't disagree; I think that it works on any body color because the piece is vey subtle. I also reference that its like a traditional splitter in the sense that it attaches on the bottom of the car and sticks out so it does not alter any of the front facia. I think there are prettier ones that are more sculptured by attaching to the front and playing off of the original lines of the car. This one looks more purposeful than pretty in my opinion.

Ah I see I personally like the kerscher spoiler for the same reason too; that it doesn't alter the front face. Except I see it as an item that maintains a very clean look to the car. Some of the molded front spoilers are very chunky looking whereas this one is very subtle.

So love from both sides

And the price doesn't sting so much.

If only I had a 135i front bumper This piece is one of the better front spoilers out there. Right under the iCarbon which is more aggressive.

This is my favorite splitter right now in the looks department. Are these available for purchase in the US? If so, where?

You can always paint it black.. alot of people buy CF products then paint them like spoilers, hoods and trunks.

We just had a group buy here on the boards. You missed out on a good deal!

Contact Brian from Echelon (vendor on this site).

I'm not much of a CF guy from an athestics point of view. Had it been available in fiberglass (i.e. cheaper), I would have gone that route and painted it.

CF was the only option, it was fully finished (i.e. did not require paint) so on it went. I like the contrast with the black.

iCarbon is a very very nice piece but its more than twice the price of the Kerscher.

Contact him directly... you can still order it through him at a slightly higher than group buy price. There may be a wait time unless they can pull it from the US distributors stock.
