Richmond, VA Tint Shop

Hey guys,

Saw another thread where a guy asked for advice but only one shop was given.

Was wondering if any of you have experience with shops down here. Don't want to drive up to DC. Already called RPM, they wanted 400 for the job without vinyl which sounded outrageous to me.

Thanks

Update: booked United Solar Films. Any experience with these guys?

That was outrageous!! i know there is a place in fredericksburg called the Lab that does good work... but I've never gone to a tint shop because I just tint my own windows. lol

Wanted to update. United Solar Films did a great job. Charged me 130, Vinyl included. Tint looks pretty good. Dot matrixing isn't perfect even with the vinyl but acceptable for my standards. They charged 130 for the tint and vinyl, and 20 per door for moleskin. My doors apparently had it installed though, which surprised me, but ended up saving me forty dollars. Would highly recommend these guys for tint. I will attach pictures in a day or two after the tint gets a bit longer to dry.

Nah I don't. I did ask him about interference with electronics and he told me the only time it happened was in a Benz. The guy couldn't get AM radio.

I got 35% all around. Looks plenty dark for me. I'll snap pics tomorrow if its nice on my phone.

And no interference problems? Do you have any pics, I didn't notice your tint the other day. I was going to get it done this week but they quoted $180 so I'm probably just gonna wait till they have another special.

Not really, half the time i do have a problem is because I come back to the car to fast or I didn't "touch it" correctly..

I think I've seen your car on Midlothian Turnpike before, right around the Chesterfield DMV
