Part Number needed: Performance Kit Radiator

Hi folks,

I want to retrofit the additional radiator from the Performance Kit. I have all the parts numbers together but for the life of me I can't find the pn of the grille which will go behind the radiator in the wheel well, to protect it from debris. Anyone have this number available or maybe could point me to the parts diagram?

Thanks!

Interesting topic, but the numbers in the diagram do not seem to show the individual part numbers for the radiator.... only for the air duct.

Thanks for the help!

Looks like the pn for E92 with M-Tech bumper is 51742157670. This should include the 4 parts package labeled "air duct". In fact I only need the back grille but I'm not sure if that can be ordered separately. I'll shoot an email to my dealer

I would just cut a small opening in the wheel well and retrofit any mesh from the hardware store

By the way, do you have the BT tool? You can use it to check the coolant temperature (during driving) before and after the additional radiator install, then let us know (I'm very interested)

Hi Autobahn,

Would it be possible to share the pn of the radiator etc?
Quite interested in this.

Just got feedback from my dealer: the grille is only available as a set with the airduct. Not sure if it's worth $200 to keep an OEM look

@ JunkStory: Hooking up a laptop during driving isn't very practical, so I have ordered a set of extra gauges from LeatherZ, including a water temp gauge.

However I plan to get the gauges installed at the same time as the radiator so I won't be able to get an exact before/after comparison.

All I know is that I managed to get the car into reduced power mode on a racetrack this summer due to high coolant temps. That will be the real test for this additional radiator: next year, on that same track.

17127602294 New hose to the pump (that Ts off to the additional radiator)
64219222129 New hose from the heater core to the main radiator (that Ts off to the additional radiator)
51647154545 Bracket for radiator
51742157670 Air Duct (part number will be different for E90/E92/M-tech bumper etc)
07147144953 (2x)
07119903995
17217540030 Holder for additional radiator

Many thanks,
I had the same experience last monday on the racetrack of Zandvoort / Amsterdam.

Oil temps were pretty ok, but two times in the first session of 20 minutes, I had the overheating warning. Took it easier on the car and they did not came back.
Are you considering the Fan? Because that one is connected to the dme. I'm thinking to install it but then manualy switch it when I'm on a track.

What do you think about that? I did hear people mentioning that in case the fan is not operating in line with the airflow it could block the flow.

In my case I didn't get an overheating sign, but power was cut by the DME with oil temps in the 125°C range. So it's definitely a water temp problem.
Lately I've also installed the larger airducts from the 335is in the M-tech bumper (foglights deleted) to improve cooling further. Haven't really thought about the fan yet. Not sure if someone managed to install it without the Power Kit software.
