It's not "BMW Motorsport" as you would imagine it. Go to the site's homepage and you will read this:
"bmwmotorsports.org is a private enthusiast site not associated with BMW AG. The BMW name, marks, and Roundel logo used in the pages of this Web Site are the property of BMW AG. This web site is not sponsored or affiliated in any way with BMW AG or any of its subsidiaries." And that document is just a simple technical document outlining the benefits of automatic transmissions. I suppose no one in their right mind would think that BMW Motorsport would use torque converter automatic transmissions in their racing cars |

You are right it is a private website, it is an old doc.. but the doc is from ZF and is still very usefull to me. I'm studying the internals of the ZF boxes and i'm still very " junior" on this topic. To me it was a good read and I hope it's usefull to others. Might increase the overall knowledge of our cars...

At this time I would buy a stick.... The funny thing in Europe is that everybody is chosing a AT these days, resulting in higher prices for used cars... A trend copied from the US is the word. ... But a stick gives way more control.... This engine deserves a stick....
