First I must say that I have only the mobile app and have search \"wastegate rattle\" \"n54 wastegate harmful\" etc...

I have noticed more rattle when \"feathering\" the throttle at idle. Is there harm to the rattle (besides sounding ghetto?) does it just get worse? Is it a sign if something (turbos) dying?

Thanks in advance....I did try to search, but again only have the mobile app.

I've been rattling for 50K miles without any harmful side effects.

But it doesn't happen with the Procede adjusted to 70% on the Wastegate Rattle Compensation user adjustable, so it's only in stock mode.

The wastegate rattle is not a sign of turbos dying.. just that the flap being held by the rod is loose and doesn't sit properly when it's at the rest position. I can't think of any negative effects. You can search for Mr. 5's DIY fix thread to understand more about the problem and optionally fix it yourself.
