Help me choose a meth kit!
Hey guys,
I hate to bring this up but im really torn about choosing a methanol kit for my 335i. At first i really wanted a Snow Performance stage 3 kit because it looked so complete, after some research it turns out there are better kits out there than the SP. Also, the SP kit is pump speed driven which i hear is worse and that makes sense. I was thinking about the vishnu PWM kit but im not so sure, it will cost me almost 400$ more than the SP kit. Any suggestions guys? |

Just like any other purchase selection, what matters most is figuring out what traits are most important to you and figuring out what options at what price give you what you are looking for.
That said, I would highly recomend vishnu's PWM kit. you can search and see a bunch of reviews on it now, but its very smooth in power delivery and the difference in power feel was as good as adding the tune over stock. Although to some, the fact that it locks you to the V5 is a bad thing. For me, knowing that several components were purpose developed to work together and tested is of big value for me. Good luck with whatever path you decide... |

When done correct any kit will yield you the same power..... Its up to what features you want in your meth kit that will determine which you want to purchase. Have it be ease of install, creature comforts, part throttle drivability ETC ETC

These BMS and Vishnu meth kits are getting real good reviews, to me they seemed so incomplete compared to other kits such as the SP stage 3 or aquamist but they seem to work really well..

Get a kit that has the ability to integrate seamlessly with your tune ie. that will always be adjusting depending on operating conditions. I had a CM kit on a FBO evo x with upgraded turbo, cams etc pushing 400whp and the CMGS kit always gave me issues and they are really hard to configure and the parameters for spray patterns etc were pretty static.. i had a lot of issues with a jammed flow sensor, injectors etc..

Aquamist HSF-3.....a PWM kit you can use it with any tune. It's been tried and tested with many other platforms and has proven to be one of the best.
I was the 1st to run it on the N54 and has been going strong for 2 years now.

I am curious... if there ever came a day that I decided to switch tunes, how hard would it be to modify the Vishnu PWM kit so I don't have to start over with a new meth kit? I don't have any specific plans to switch tunes but this would provide piece of mind to me before spending money on the Vishnu kit. |
