Sneaky. Do you feel your car actually needs it? I mean you don't have your own pic. If you get a pic but they won't cover it try to work out a deal, like they pay for the part and you pay for labor.
Edit: This is your first post on the forums. This is how you introduce yourself? Last edited by ndog14; 12-13-2011 at 03:09 PM.. Reason: because i feel so |

wait until the summertime, then beat the shit out of your car for 30 mins with lots of stop and go. oil temp should get up pretty quickly if you don't have an oil cooler. take pics, complain to service advisor of high oil temps. doubt you'd need an oil cooler between now and then, in CT

I have the sedan with sport package with 17 wheels...but apparently bmw only adds the oil cooler if you have 18 wheels...
I want to add the dinan performance engine software upgrade but the oil cooler is required |

If you aren't the original owner, good luck. I haven't heard of BMWNA goodwilling a retro fit on the oil cooler to non-original owners. Besides your VIN# tells BMW your build.
AFAIK, BMWNA only agreed to retro fit the cars that met all the sport package option criteria during production - BMW AG conceded they had make a mistake by not including an oil cooler to Automatics w/ Sport/higher speed limiter/18" staggered wheels. After March '07, the production builds were remedied. Aftermarket seems to be your option now.
