Is this right? 335i vs Porsche 996 GT2

Just curious, but can a 335i stage 3 really outrun a GT2 like that?

I had a 335i with a SSTT on it and I wasn't that much slower than my friends 04 996 TT. Handling, well that's different.

462-483 hp stock, lighter, more down force...short answer is no, the guy in the porsche was not pushing that car. No question in my mind esp since ive been behind the wheel of a tuned 335 and a stock 996 turbo not gt2 and can honestly say its not much of a contest. BUT there are a lot of factors to consider. so anything is possible

I'm not a fan boy of either brand, but I seriously doubt a 335 tuned can outrun a GT2 like that. the 335 might be able to keep up close.

Very possible with a stock 996 (not 997). Upgraded Turbo, FBO, Meth 335's are laying down over 500 hp @ 19psi.....I know

yea gt2 wasn't pushing it, don't get me wrong 335i stage 3 a lot quicker than stock but realistically not if gt2 had been pushing it.

i drive a fbo 335 every day, no meth and i have been driving gt3 cups cars at vir and cmp so i have a bit of knowledge about both cars. i will tell you now no way the 335 could straight line or track with a gt2 or gt3. i love my 335 but it is an everyday car not a track car.

Yes, i did. I recorded this about a year ago and i was told that Porsche was a gt2. now im considering if it was BS. i remember that 335 was really fast for an stage3 non upgraded turbo.. but a GT2? seemed a bit weird.

996 GT2 is what? 4.0 seconds to 60 and I have read any from 12.5 to 12.9 in the quarter and weighs around 3150lbs, so technically a fbo 335i with meth should be pretty close. It a straight line that is.

Since I own both I can say with certainty NO WAY! I think that is probably a regular 996 (non-Turbo) with a body kit.
