Hello from Cali!

Hello all,

Just bought a used 2006 330i and love it! I'm a previous '95 530i and '02 M5 owner, just traded in a '09 MDX to save $$ and found this little gem at Carmax. I'm very happy to be back in a bimmer...

Other than the nasty Piña Colada smell inside and 2-3 very small dings, she's perfect. Thanks to the forums here - I'll be busy making some tweaks very soon!

i love the E39 M5. I seriously considered buying one before i bought my 328i.

How's it feel to go from the M5 to the 330i?

Congrats on the 330! You will not be disappointed. Which Carmax did you buy from?

My head doesn't jerk back as much and I miss the manual six sometimes. But overall it handles pretty close to the M5 for how I drive it (on/off ramps and curves are my favorites). Biggest plus is it gets less attention and is easier to park. Finding a spot for the M5 was hell - to avoid door dings and other fun stuff.

@NYY e90 - got it from Burbank. They also had a 2011 M3 and a 2009 M6 (I think it was 2009 or so) both for $42k. I hemmed and hawed a lot... but was there to save $$ not recycle it. I got a great deal in the trade and love the 330 so far.

2011 M3 for only $42k? That's hell of a deal!

Congrats! What's the mileage on the 330? I might consider one as well after looking at your pic

Nice, I used to work at the Carmax in Irvine. There were a lot of great deals to be had on some of the luxury cars that rolled through there.
