Am I the only one that thinks the e93 w/ the the top up is an atrocity? Completely kills the look of an otherwise beautiful car.

Isn't an e93 with the top up just a heavier e92

I think the weight of the E93 is the same regardless if the top is up or down...? with top down - center of gravity...that is another story...

E93 actually looks pretty good compared to other hard top convertibles in its class. It looks 95% identical to an E92 and most of the public probably can't discern a difference unless you point it out.

If you want to talk about atrocities, look at the IS or G convertibles.

+1 the E93 is for sure the most normal looking of the three. The Chrysler Seabring hardtop on the other hand

I bet most people can't even tell the e93 with the top up is a different car than the e92. I think it looks fine, just a waste of money.

I think they're pretty atrocious too.

Just not a fan of the shape it inflicts on the body and seeing the lines on the roof where the body splits makes me shudder a bit. The car just doesn't look that substantial, in my eyes.

I'm sure it's a blast to drive though.

I was referring to the fact they look almost identical with the top up. Yes I am aware the weight is the same no matter what position the top is in......but yes the added weight in the highest position on the car will certainly make a difference. Maybe not noticeable on the street, but certainly on the track.

at the end of a bad day at work - i always have a smile as i put the top down knowing that i am driving a bad ass vert through the mountains of NC...just don't get the same feeling if all i could do was put the windows down with a sunroof open.
