BMW vs others.
I been searching and searching for a 335i for my wife but everything I find one it either sells or it's priced high (kind of). I see alot of 09 e92 for 35k and up with 35k miles, and when I try to haggle the always bullshit. I started looking at Mercedes c350, and infiniti and there prices are alright I see 2010 c350 for 27k along with Infiniti. Has anyone else noticed this. I'm not interested in these car for my wife but it can't hurt to look.

Since you already have a 335i and money is an issue, can't your wife get along with a 328i? Same car, same top speed - the only difference is a second or so slower acceleration from 0~60 (and slightly better gas mileage).

My wife wants a 335i, money isn't the issue it just that whenever I find one with all the options it sells FAST. Then I started looking at other alternatives (whick my wife doesnt want) and saw that there prices were alot less. I guess you pay for the ultimate driving machine

Patience is the name of the game. I spent a few months looking for my car, but ended up with every last option I wanted(fully loaded) and the exact color combo(montego/saddle) for a price $4k less than I was willing to spend. I'm very satisfied.

Are you looking for Automatic transmissions? If so, I would stay away from the Infiniti' G37, as they have problems shifting with their latest 7 speed transmissions. I test drove a 2012 model and they still have slight issues. Do a google search.
As for the Mercedes, the cabin is very quiet with nice materials. But I thought the instrument cluster and arrangement of buttons in the center console was horrible. For example, the button for the AC was so low that I had to bend my head down to almost a 90 degree angle to see what temperature I was adjusting to. This was on a 2012 C350 coupe. Once you use the BMW's I-drive system, everything else seems to much more complicated haha. As for BMW, I would recommend going to every dealership in your area. I drove to 4 seperate ones and found out one of them owned 2 more dealerships in the greater area. So have them do inventory searches to get a dealer swap. If your wife wants a 335i, don't settle for the Infiniti. Price wise, the Infiniti will always win, no matter how you spin it. So it's hard but just take it out of the equation completely haha. |

I came from an '09 G37 coupe with the aforementioned 7 speed AT, and I can confirm this is true. RPM jerks and clunky shifts. Their fix was an ECU reflash which made the problem better for some, worse for others. My solution = e92 335i

Haha I am contemplating selling my 335 but not until I exhaust all options of trying to keep it (moving to Nyc) it's an 08 fully loaded (sport, cold weather, nav, logic 7, wood grain, etc) it's bsm with saddle brown (that's the peanut butter color right?) no engine or performance mods only OSS Lights and gloss black avant garde m310's. I've got the original wheels/tires. May sell desperately. Didn't really think about it. Also have full service package until 100k. Cars got 43k miles.

Sedans will bring the price into your range, you're looking at the competition's sedans (c350)
