Got mine last Saturday. It's a HPFP failure class action lawsuit. $50 for any failure beyond the recall replacement. I'm probably going to ignore it since there is no $$ return for me likely for any effort of mine.

Yup got it in the mail too.
There's incremental payments for every hpfp you had to replace outside the recalls. Its like $50 for once, $100 for the second, $150 for the 3rd or something like that. Or you can get $800 credit towards a new BMW ( not sure after how many hpfps though ) |

Got it in the mail today. the only thing it possibly could have provided is wastegate protection after 4 yr/50k. But DUH, most 07's are beyond 5 yr. This settlement letter belongs in the garbage. GTFOH.
BMWNA = excellent lawyers. Nguyen, and the class, got nada. |

Hey guys,
Don't be too quick in throwing out that letter if you had your pump(s) replaced before the recall keep in mind that you are eligible for the following compensation: 1 pump = $50 2 pumps = $100 3 pumps = $200 4 pumps = $300 5 pumps = $400 OR an $800 purchase-credit toward the purchase of a new BMW. But you must fill out the enclosed form to get that money and / or purchase-credit. Also be aware if you plan to pursue your own case against BMW, you must opt out of this settlement in writing by 2-6-12. If you do nothing, you will be unable to start a new case against BMW for hpfp and wastegate issues. Last edited by nbkkvv5; 12-28-2011 at 10:07 AM.. Reason: typo |

I received my letter yesterday, read it a few minutes ago, and will throw it out soon. My HPFP wasn't giving me any problems, but I had it replaced via the recall about a year ago (ish). Since it was taken care of by the warranty, I have nothing to claim.

Waste of time and postage. They could have contributed the "settlement" to Susan Komen or something worthwhile. Does a 335 owner really want to waive their rights to get $50, or $100? BMW gives that to people for doing a test drive, it shouldn't be doled out to people who have purchased their vehicles and had problems with them.
