Hey guys. My headlights for my 2006 E90 330xi are pretty yellow, foggy, scratched, and nasty. I'm looking for a new set of headlights as well as led angel eyes daytime running lights. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing and I'd love any advice. I've been scanning the E90 Post forums but I just wanted to see if anyone here has had any experience.

Basically I just need to know how to understand what would be compatible for my car as well as what parts I need to buy. Thanks in advance!

You can save yourself a boat load of money and wet sand and polish them back to almost new. Idk what outcome you're lookin for. If you want updated looks get yourself some different angel eyes, white corner, and 6000k replacement d1s bulbs for a totally different look. And you'll still come out hundreds ahead. Just my .02

Edit: lol just saw you said you have no idea what you're doing. You could research the many headlight restoration kits available on the market today and they'll give you tutorials on how to proceed

For the corner lights you can get stealth bulbs if you don't wanna see the yellow and if you care about abiding by your local laws or if you want a look that all comes together you can get the Solaris white corner bulbs like I have.

And for the headlight bulbs themselves you can get these. But read up on d1s replacements as some brands are known to cause serious issues. Phillips is oem manufacturer for our cars light bulbs so you should be fine w them.

In terms of brightness, are the white Solaris corners clearly visible in direct sunlight? I bought some generic ones before but they could only be seen at night which poses a safety hazard. I want something that is as bright or brighter than stock.

For garage-type restoration. Your best bet is to use a 3M or similar drill-attachment kit (take your time) followed up by a meg's power ball + PlastX polish. ~$60-70 in supplies and a few hrs.

If you have access to a pro detailer, you can stop by and have them finish them up for a perfect finish.

The second headlights in your post above will run you ~$1k net and require a ton of work to get working properly so I suggest you avoid that route.

I see. What if I purchased the some model of headlight with a different color waffle or a white and clear housing? That's honestly what I'm looking for. Just pure white.
