I am considering applying. Any info will be helpful. Thanks |

Right now it is very difficult. Maryland is a "may issue" state. You have to provide "good and substantial cause" in order to be given a permit by MSP. A law suit was filed and the plaintiff won. He argued that this infringed upon his 2nd amendment rights. This effectively turned MD into a "shall issue" state, meaning all you have to do is undergo a background check, pay your fee, and you will be issued a permit. There has since been a stay placed upon this ruling. So the short answer is . . . it is difficult, but it may not be for much longer.

Also, "good and substantial cause" is very difficult to prove. It usually means you face a very real threat of physical violence, or transport large sums of cash while working.

I like the Glock .40's as well. The Glock 22 is quite nice.

I've been told to register in VA and when MD loosens they're requirement there will most likely be reciprocity between the states which should make it much quicker to obtain MD. You can apply online: http://www.vsp.state.va.us/Firearms_...Concealed.shtm
