I'm not doubting that John, it is faster than a 1M, but looks are terrible. Call me old school, but flared wheel arches, deep concave wheels, and quad pipes are simply a must have ... Same goes for M135.

It wasn't confirmed when I placed an order for my 135i, but I could have guessed given today's trends. 6cyl turbo's will be very rare in the small to medium car segment.

Bloody hell, you two. Play nice or move on. This is a forum, and by definition, that means we're all entitled to our opinions. Nobody is right, nobody is wrong. We're all here to share thoughts, opinions and advice for those who want or ask for it. If you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Now, let's get back on topic.

Whether the A Class looks good or not is a matter of taste, and, like clothes, beer, girls, food, etc, we all like different things.

I think it looks pretty good, but lacks that "wow" factor on the outside (for me). The interior is awesome though. I'm not really interested in AWD either, which is why I got rid of the Golf R after just over a year. It bored me.

Both sides can kiss and make up after sharing a bowl of hummus together. See how hummus has brought together and mended the Palestinians and Israelis.

Oh yeh, Alpine White is by far the largest seller in Aus on 1Ms, then VO then BSM, I exceled it remember . I suggest Sedona was the least popular E82 colour too. just sayin

The A-Class is going to be a popular hit for Benz. It's a hot hatch - not a supercar. And for a hatch I think it does the job in the looks department.

Benz is really stepping up a notch in its design - it looks like they are targeting a younger / more sporting market imo.

I won't be buying the A45 but the A250 has got me interested as a relatively quick, nimble but fairly practical daily drive. Also the upcoming GLA might offer an alternative to the X1 etc.

Saw a red demonstrator on the road yesterday. Quite like the proportions though a little high sided, the front says Mercedes but the rear is rather generic. Mercedes generally make a quality product, especially in the last 4-5 years, that, along the Mercedes cache will sell it . If the interior is a really nice place to be that can make up for compromises in other areas.
I'd buy one. The question for me would be is there a sufficient gap between it and say a Golf in terms of features, quality and performance to justify the price difference?

I had a brief discussion with the Mercedes salesman regarding the price, they have nothing in writing at this stage however they are expecting between 80-90k on the road.

Guess that makes me a d1ck

VO biggest seller in USA. BSM and AW very conservative. If offered, Blue would have been my choice.

I bought the Sedona 135i as it was a demonstrator at a great price due its colour... I bought for performance, it was actually a great colour in real life.

I think from memory the 'respected journos' you refer to said the said thing.

Mind you Nuth'n wrong with a 135 with m3 running gear and a proper tune. Should be a baller on the track

Only problem it won't have an M badge
