MaDoNiOn > Yesir! IMHO, this will probably be the easiest way to go about it. ilikebmxbikes & Venom had their rear arches grafted -- square-by-square -- really tedious work. Checkout it out. Their rear arches flare out a little more than a factory 1M (from what I'm told). The final product is simply outstanding. That said, the quote I got was pretty much the same between custom-grafting the arches and buying the panels. The difference is -- time and labor. Using the panels is a more straight forward approach and takes less time to do, thus -- less $$.

I might not even replace the entire panel(s). I'll probably just cut out large squares above the arches and weld. This will save even more time & money in regards to removing windows, paint, etc.
