My second 135i came with the 261s. While I think they are a nice wheel, I didn’t love them as much as the 264s. I bought the car in 2010 and in 2011 I first saw the 313s here on 1addicts and knew I had to have them.

I finally got the vehicle back late this afternoon. Didn’t really get a chance to put it through its paces because my 9-year old was with me and we had to make a grocery run after picking it up. Then had to drive home in the rain. Initial impressions are, the sound didn’t seem to change (but I had windows up and ac blasting), but the power seems much more robust and immediate lower in the rpm range. That is exactly what I was hoping for!
I’ll report back again tomorrow after I have had more time to shake it down. $1,500 sure spends quick at the dealer… I really spent way too much fixing this car up and could have gotten something much newer. I hope it lasts several more miles and years! |

Impressive you gathered all the parts to do the PPK2 and then installed them yourself. I bought the kit when it was readily available at the dealers shortly after buying my car new.
Here's an idea. See if you can get some rashed up wheels to put winter tires on. I did this with mine. I have the 261 wheels and bought a set of used rashed up 264s. The 261s have the Michelin 4S' and the 264s have the Bridgestone WS80s. Come winter time, I would just swap the wheels. It's a hassle but got me through the winter until I got a daily. So my 135i is now a garage queen. |

Oh and if you want to go with some decent all season tires that are also winter rated, check out the Michelin Cross Climate 2. I have these on my daily beater. I was going to get a set of winter tires for that car but with the Cross Climates, I don't really need to.
I looked at the available sizes and it comes in the upsized tire sizes Esteban listed in his post above. |

The PPK2 kit came with everything except the front air duct for the bumper. There were enough bumper styles that I guess they decided it would have to be a separate kit.
I do not intend to daily drive it in the winter months, but the tires do need to work below 40 degrees. I don’t feel like spending the extra money on two sets. If a new C8 Corvette comes factory with the PS AS4, that is good enough for me! Our SHO has the CrossClimate 2. Great all season passenger tire and excellent in the snow! My wife doesn’t care about an all out performance tire for her car, so those are perfect. |

Driving into work this morning, I can confirm that PPK flash has little to no effect on the N54 exhaust sound, but the immediacy of the power is much enhanced. Second gear is a blast now!
Side note, blue to purplish puddle under the car this morning. Didn’t have time to look into it, but I am just hoping it is a leaky headlight washer… I replaced all coolant lines, expansion tank, thermostat, and water pump on my rebuild. |
