Installed new mods

I just installed M3 subframe bushings, M3 front control arms, new Koni Street struts and shocks.
Car transformed. Easily outhandles E46 M3, Z4M, Z3M, most base Porsche Caymans and 911's from that vintage.

Not helpful (for me trying to stay away from the control arms upgrade ). Did you go with OE or OEM arms?

Mines similar on M3 arms, B12's (Bilstein b8 and eibach springs) and matched eibach bars.

But I also have a base cayman unmodified.

At the limit the Cayman is way more capable and predictable than the e82.

But around town, day to day and on a twisty back road it would close, but the Cayman turns in so damn amazing due to all the mass sitting center of the car so I think again its a better handling car.

E82 way more practical daily though.

Lucky me. I get to choose.

Started refurbishment of the performance hand brake that I stumbled across while prospecting marketplace. Alcantara comes back to life nicely with 16 years of dirt removed.

How do you like the B12 kit?
I've had bilsteins before, and found them overly stiff for city use... but entirely different car, and not with eibach sport springs (used them with H&R race springs).

Have you driven an e82 with factory m sport suspension?

Just finished up a suspension overhaul on my 135i:

-BC Racing BR 1M-spec coilovers (7k/12k)
-F80 Front Spindles and Hubs
-F80 Front Rotors (VNE)
-EBC Red F8x-specific pads (DP32360c)
-VTT M14x1.25toM14x1.5 Stud Conversion
-VAC Hub Extender
-GAS Monoball with non-M Lemforder thrust arms
-E90 M3 Lower Control Arm (Delphi)
-E90 M3 Inner Tie Rods (Hamburg-technic)
-CMP Auto Engineering Roll Center and Bump Steer Correction Shims
-BC Racing Front Swaybar Endlinks

-E90 M3 Rear Camber Links
-CMP Auto Engineering Inner Camber Link Monoball
-Delphi Outer Camber Link Monoball
-E90 M3 Rear Upper Control Arms with outer monoball conversion (Delphi)
-E90 M3 Rear Guide Rods with outer monoball conversion (Delphi)
-Revshift Billet Aluminum Trailing Arms
-Febi Rear Swaybar Endlinks

Still need to get an alignment and actually test it out but should be a nice improvement to my blown front struts (which initiated this whole mess LOL)

Few things I already did that pertain to chassis/suspension/brakes were e90 m3 steering rack, mfactory 3.46 helical LSD, megan racing non-m rear toe arms (monoball both ends), f8x 370/380mm calipers, Zimmerman 135i rotors, rear ebc red brake pads, UUC stainless brake lines and e90 m3 front subframe stiffening plate.

With that being said, I should be somewhat identical to a 1M so I could claim “narrowbody 1M clone” but I won’t

Damp cloth lightly rubbing in circles. Small drop of detergent in the water. It was from a manual car so plenty of use!
Here's the money shot.

Yesterday, but installed the rear fog light button and pusher from Mister_R. Install went perfect, I removed the entire vent to get to the screws rather than prying off the top facia like is recommended in the original DIY. It's way easier, just 2 clips behind the 2 square cutouts in the leather that wraps down behind the side plate and the entire vent mechanism slides right out.

After you get the entire switch out, its just undoing all the clips that hold the back of the switch in, the circuit board will slide right out, and the original "anti-pusher" and blank switch pop right out and you can just insert the new button and pusher.

I didn't so much *do* anything to my car as allow my son to drive it today as his E46 has a coolant leak. I was white-knuckling it the entire day.

Got my car back from the mechanics this week; sump reseal, DCT service, new Bilsteins all round. Unfortunately he didn't get to fit the M3 subframe bushes I supplied or the pinion seal to fix the diff leak, he's gotta source some tooling so it'll have to go back. But at least it's not dropping oil on my garage floor any more

Yeah man. We're lucky here in the Western Cape of South Africa. It's quite mountainous, which makes for some epic passes. Car didn't miss a beat!
