I don't have experience with N54 downpipes, only N55.. But I know VRSF is an awesome option for quality, fitment, and price.

No experience with n54 here either. I've installed three n55 dps.. BMS, Ar, CPE, bms had the best fitment.

What you're looking for is perfect fitment. You will get that with some of the high dollar varieties, as well as VRSF, and the now discontinued BMS offering.
BMS pipes may be hard to find now, but you cant go wrong with VRSF.

VRSF fit perfectly fine, it is also the most popular DP for the N55 E chassis with lots of good reviews.
+ it is offered at an unbeatable price.

crystaweizen > AR Design. Can't vouch for any other brand. My buddy has popped them in-and-out of my 1ers several times (for different reasons) -- I've had two 135's.
Just under an hour on the install. They all perform pretty much the same (I mean, it's a piece of pipe dude -- LOL). Not that this is the norm, in terms of install time, but that's what you're paying for -- fitment. Look around and read the horror stories of dudes spending half a day trying to fit cheap-ass downpipes. I've read good things about the BMS ones as well (the only cheap option I would consider). Like ShocknAwe said though, they are hard to find now a days. AR's come across the wire pretty often. $450-600 is a good range. Last edited by TUN3D; 01-26-2015 at 01:03 PM.. |

AR Design. Excellent quality and fitment. Have had them in my car for 5 years now.
I've heard good things about VRSF too but have never used them.

To be fair, your car is stupid loud because you have a muffler delete exhaust.

We have over 50 independent reviews of our downpipes, we offer a lifetime guarantee against both fitment/defects and we offer the highest quality option without the BMW tax. Some features include stainless steel construction, cast inlets, full 3" design and meticulously constructed/tested so you don't have to install them twice.
We also offer discounts when you purchase multiple VRSF items as well as loyalty discounts if you've purchased VRSF items from us in the past. You can check out some reviews on our website at the link below. http://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-3-stain...-bmw-135i.html |
