The lip isn't an exact science if that's what you mean. It comes with some pre-drilled holes, but those alone wont do the trick. Simply drilling screws to the bottom of your bumper wont do the trick either. They will loosen and fall over time.
Here is how I did it: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...80&hg=51&fg=15 Bought: 1) C-clip nut - self-locking, 07146951655 2) Hex bolt (17mm), 07149126886 3) Sheet metal screw (22mm), 07119905184 The eyeball test works best. Grab a buddy to help, you'll need it. Start off by test fitting the lip (just hold it in place), and make sure that both ends are equally lined up to the edges of the OEM bumper. Once you figure out placement, start bolting. Start at one end and work your way towards the other. The ends are rather simple and will bolt up flush. The tricky part, which requires a little bit of muscle (just holding in place), are the teeth of the lip. You might need 2 bolts/screws in that area to make sure you get a flush fit. All-in-all, once you get it right...it looks good. Last edited by TUN3D; 06-13-2013 at 10:58 AM.. |

You had both the Tial Q & the Synapse BOVs. In terms of a 1-10 Scale, 10 being the loudest. How would you compare the loudness of the Tial Q vs the Synpase?
Also what was your reason for owning both BOV's? |

Both are equally as loud in my opinion, but the sound is different. TiAL gives you a higher pitch swoosh, while Synapse is lower pitch (not as annoying). It depends what you like. I'm looking for this shit to sound obnoxious, LMAO.
I got the ETS when I started running meth. After consulting with Terry (logs and what not), I'm going two bungs for better atomization. I figured, WTF...lets try something different. Now I wanna go HKS, which is supposedly the most annoying. Last edited by TUN3D; 06-22-2013 at 07:26 PM.. |
