New HPF N54 Intake Manifold Pics for the 135i/335i/535i
We got our final rapid prototype in for our NEW N54 Intake Manifold and confirmed every last detail today. I'm happy to report that we will now move forward on the production of these intake manifolds in aluminum. They will allow all of us to take our 135/335/535s way beyond what the direct injection will allow. You will be able to purchase these with or without the fuel injectors and rail. We will stock the injectors and rails if you need them, and will also work with the N54 tuning companies out there to dial in the secondary fuel system.
If you have any questions about these, feel free to PM me or email sales@horsepowerfreaks.com. Here are some pics.... |

Awesome! Probably something I'm going to wait out until after CPO warranty is up (maybe not though).....I can only imagine the look on the dealers' faces when they open the hood to that

That looks very nice guys! One thing about going to aluminum from plastic is that it will retain a lot more heat. I did that years ago on my E36 M3 when I installed a Shrick manifold. With the supercharger I had installed I saw an increase of nearly 40 degrees before and after the install swap. So I gained power, but only until heat soak set in...

Supercharger/Turbo kit. They have been building these for the e46 M3's (& others) and the output is enormous. I assume this, plus their single turbo, and exhaust will be part of an overall package for the N54 cars, including Stages 1 through 4.
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/part...s/E46_M3/11037 FYI...I am their BFF (Big F-----g Fan)!

I can see why you are their biggest fan. Coolest company I've seen in a long time! Dammit now the idea of buying a used M3 and going stage II will be stuck in my head until I do it
Back on topic, will be very interesting to see what tuners can do with this manifold and potential injector opts! |

It allows you to supply enough fuel to a larger turbo. The stock DI system only has so much head room till the injectors and/or pump can't flow any more fuel. In a regular system you would just replace the fuel pump and injectors with larger units. (That's what I did when I went Stage 3 with my WRX.) With a DI system you can't really do that because of the pressures involved with the system.
