2012 128i M Sport, 6MT, Slicktop/Stripper, ~35k mi, BMW Performance Parts
Hello everyone, For sale is my 2012 128i. You may remember this car was listed back in May. A potential buyer from Florida did agree to buy the car however ultimately they decided not to go through with the cross country buying process. I decided at the time not to immediately re-list, but I am now ready to do so again. This is a unicorn spec of the vehicle with super low mileage. M Sport and 6MT as the only options. Car has no sunroof, manual seats, and no iDrive. Mileage currently sits around 35,000, and will continue to accumulate slightly as I will likely drive the car once a week to keep all the fluids moving. Car has never been tracked or autocrossed. Car was originally bought at Winslow BMW in Colorado Springs. It was then traded in there and re-sold CPO to the second owner who lived in Ft. Collins. The second owner only put about a 1,000 miles on the car before I purchased it from him. I have made two minor modifications to the car since buying and the vehicle also has several OEM upgrades from the BMW Performance Parts catalog, most of which are no longer available. These include TRW (M3) Front Control Arms, M3 Rear Subframe Bushings, the BMW Performance Suspension, BMW Performance Carbon Fiber Intake, and the BMW Performance Exhaust. I have owned the car since 17,700 miles and have performed regular oil changes around every 5000 miles. Other maintenance during my ownership has included a power steering flush and spark plug and coil pack replacement. The car also has brand new Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ tires with about 2,000 miles on them and a fresh alignment (also will be including a 17x7" spare wheel and tire). Car has been garage kept for my entire ownership, never driven in the snow, and very rarely in the rain. The exterior and interior of the car are in truly excellent condition, with the only blemishes being your typical minor rock chips on the front bumper and a small dent on the rear diffuser that was there from the previous owner. I have included a photo of the small dent. These cars, especially in this spec, are incredibly hard to come by. Even more so with this low of mileage. Beyond that most of the performance parts that are on the car are no longer available to buy. I've truly enjoyed my ownership of this car as BMW will likely never make a naturally aspirated, stripped down, enthusiast level drivers car again. The N52 motor sounds amazing and drives so smoothly. Please reach out to me via PM or in this post with any questions. The car is currently located in the Los Angeles area. I am active duty military so the car is registered in my home of record, Texas. There are no liens on the vehicle and the title is clean. I have listed out some of the specs and maintenance on the vehicle below. I bought the car off of this forum's for sale section, so I'm offering it up here first as well in hopes that it goes to an enthusiast owner. Willing to work with any serious buyers no matter the location. Vehicle Info VIN: WBAUP7C54CVM55001 2012 BMW 128i - N52 motor - 6MT - M Sport - Slicktop - Manual Seats - No iDrive Mods/Upgrades (Note: All suspension mods were done at 28k miles) - TRW (M3) Front Control Arms - M3 Rear Subframe Bushings - BMW Performance Suspension with VIN matched Performance Springs - BMW Performance Carbon Fiber Intake - BMW 135i Performance Exhaust (128i exhaust was NLA) - BMW Performance Brake Kit Maintenance - Power steering flush at purchase - Oil change every 5000 miles (last one at ~31k) - Spark plugs and coil pack replaced around 25k to address rough idle - New brake fluid with brake upgrade at ~ 31k - New Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ tires - Fresh alignment with new tires Extras - 17x7" and 205/50/r17 spare wheel and tire - BMW custom fit sunshade Last edited by kaputt; 09-13-2020 at 06:46 PM.. |

Wow....
Wish you were closer....
I have a 2009 M-Sport with 6MT and less than 9000 miles and am on the lookout for another barebones preferrably manual M-Sport. This one would do nicely but is soooo far away |

This is a great car with great mods!
If the Covid economy hadn't hit me so hard, I'd make this a fun sister for my AT.

You can't be selling this!!
What are you picking up after? Fair price for essentially a brand new 128i wearing 3 piece suit with all those BMWP goodies!

I think for now I’m just going to do the one car thing with my manual transmission Honda. The military is also likely to move me in another year and a half or so, and doing that with just my car and my fiancé’s car will be way easier. |

This is the spec I am looking for. I just joined in order to message sellers. I have been registered with the same name on bimmerforums since 2002. I will PM you once I am allowed.

Thank you everyone for your interest. It’s been a pleasure being on these forums. Learned a great deal about cars in general that I plan to take forward with any of my future ownership. Really enjoyed my time with the 1er, great vehicle and future classic for sure. |
