For those who have seen VO in person...

I love the idea of orange, I ordered the car in orange, and the colors I have seen in early pics/vids are appealing. Now there are some pics from FL where the car looks very copper/brown almost like the Nissan 350/70 Z "copper orange" color.

I do not want a brown car, or a car similar in color to the Nissan

. Is that what it looks like in person?

I have seen the Honda Element thread, sorry I havent seen an orange Element.

Sure, it's not exactly about the comparison with the Z, but it's all about how it looks in person. You could've posted your question there.

I dont need the links, I have seen all of those... I just want to hear from people who have seen it if its "like" the Z or "not like" the Z.

I can easily link pics of the car showing it in what appears to be brown. However accurate or inaccurate that is.

I got to see the VO 1M that was at BMW Welt in November. While hard for me to describe, the color shifted from copper to orange to red-ish but it never looked brown-ish. Unfortunately, I've never seen the Nissan color so I can't compare the two.

I've seen in VO on several occasions. The darker it gets the more brown it gets. The brighter it gets, the more washing out it looks. Honestly it only looks good (IMHO) with very specific kind of light. Although keep in mind I hate metallic oranges. That's why I'm getting Alpine White.

On Tuesday I was at the Welt and BMW Museum. I took these pics of some of BMW past power colors. I think the VO will sit well among these past epic BMW's.

VO really reminds me of the vibrant orange ends of the concept turbo bellow.

Thanks guys... the pics are great and these pics show a color that I absolutely love, so vibrant. My concern was the recent "real world" pics where it appeared very copper/brown. In direct sunlight you can see the flakes and the color glows, and I dont mind a less vibrant orange (like Inca from the 2002 or even a darker shade) when in the shade or at night, I just dont want that brown.

Yesterday I saw the Z in traffic and it reminded me of the recent brown pics, the car really was not appealing, rather unappealing actually. the London street pics look great though.

Based on the tv coverage ive seen at Daytona the color is great. I actually saw an Element in orange yesterday too and it seems to be similar in color.

The Z copper/brown is nothing close to the element or the footage I am seeing from Daytona (thank god!!)

Ha! Me too! I saw a Honda element in the bank drive through and that is definitely a very similar color!

That car shouldn't be allowed to have that color! Doesn't make it any better
