So I got the Berk mids and installed them, Im Extremely satisfied with the outcome. The raspiness is all gone and the exhaust has a nice tone to it again Here is a short video, sorry for the quality.

box_man > Good stuff! Glad you like the sound. It makes all the difference.
On the waste gate rattle, BMW has a turbo replacement option in place up to 82k miles I believe (warranty or not). You might have to de-mod the car some (I did), but it's worth it. I got a new set of turbos on my '08 My rep asked me to remove the downpipes/charge-pipe and put the stock air-box back in. |

box_man > I would take it in ASAP -- it's rattling pretty bad. My rep told me to change those items back to stock (downpipies, chargepipe, intake) so that the car appears normal. Supervisors like to poke their noses around, and they didn't want to raise any red flags or draw attention.
That said, just be straight forward with your rep...and tell him that it's been rattling for sometime even without the mods. Every BMW is different, so hopefully they'll work with you. |
