While throw is indeed shortened it is more of a subtle reduction, and an overall improvement in feel is created by using stiffer bushings throughout the system, a raised pivot point (via a higher cup position in the carrier), and different selector rod and shifter geometry. Rogue believes that the shift mechanism should be subject to a more wholesale change, as opposed to simply modifying the shift lengths.

1) taller than stock 2) pushed further out of reach (i.e. closer to the dash) Is that so? It kinda goes against what I personally consider a SSK to be (usually much shorter base, and if anything, closer to the driver, not farther out). Don't get me wrong, I love Rogue and their products, heck, had their SSK on my E39 M5 and would pick them over UUC every day of the week and twice on Sunday. But what is listed as the characteristics on the 1///M application goes against what I think a SSK should deliver. Am I missing something? TIA

I have a UUC SSK with DSSR on order although I have been waiting for over three weeks for the thing. Every time I call they tell me they are waiting on parts. Once/if I get it I can give a little more feedback. Thanks.

Just an update, despite the fact the website says "in stock" UUC is 5-6 weeks behind on orders and each time I call I get the same "it will go out tomorrow or the next day. There is no need to call as you will get an email letting you know when it ships." message.
I personally am having a difficult time dealing with that lead time and response from a company advertising a part in stock. Maybe I made the wrong choice and should have gone RE.........

sorry for the delay, here it is:
had to cut the center console, ashtray + frame and shifter boot frame. Shifter boot leather fits over the shifter construction just barely so I did not have to cut into it. Ashtray lid does not close anymore too. Overall looks pretty neat and not too racecar.. for my taste |

Hello All,
I promised to follow up with a review of my UUC SSK with DSSR. First, I was a little disappointed that it was advertised as being in stock although it ended up taking 6+ weeks for me to receive it. Once I received it it was well packaged and looked really nice. The install was kind of a PITA although not too terrible. The result, well, I am slightly disappointed with the result. The shifting itself feels nice, tight, and accurate. The shifter seems to located in a similar position. The disappointment comes in with the reduction of the throw. They say it is a ~35% reduction although it certainly does not seem like it. In all honesty, I am not sure it is even noticeable except for in reverse. I really wanted to like this piece although with lead time, the price, and the not so noticeable reduction in throw I would not recommend it. I have even considered ordering a Rogue SSK. I know this is not the best review although it is what it is. Sam
