I like it debadged for two reasons....I think it makes the stubby ass end of the car look a bit longer or leaner without them ,also my wash mitt doesn't hang up on the numbers.

I have debadged mine, think it makes the back look a bit neater personally, plus i love wiping the floor with verious 3 series drivers who have no idea what i am driving, (the 123d will just about out do a 325i and kill a 325d stone dead!! i have found)

I moved the Cooper Badge to the middle of my boot lid on my MINI and that looked really smart, but i couldn't make it look right on the 1er so i removed it all together.

I should get my 135 next week and I'll probably debadge it.
One of the reasons is here in NZ the 135's come with the M kit stuff on them so they put M badges on it for you. I'd rather have none.

Can you not order them debadged from the factory in the US? That was certainly an option for me here in Europe although I elected to keep the model badge. Happy for people to know they just got dragged by a diesel

As stated in an earlier post I have also debadged all of the BMW I've owned. It was not because I was trying to hide my lesser car but because I thought it looked better! To each there own I say.

There is an option for it if you think to ask, but my salesman had to look up the code for it.

I am a de-badger but I am leaving the 135i on the trunk for now. I removed the 3.0i from the sides of my Z4 and it looks much cleaner. I took six badges off my Tacoma and still have the Toyota and Tacoma on the tailgate.

I wouldn't have considered it, but it does make the rear look better. I think it's especially nice on BSM or Jet Black with shadowline trim.

Well, if i had an M or 1.35i Series 1, maybe I debadge it to a 1.28i

This would be so that I can undercover as a 'Sleeper' car. Something that stands out to those kiddies that attempt to try and race me.

But, reality is I ordered a 1.28i and I won't hide that fact. Or at least so long as the car is under lease and I don't get bore of it.

That's my take on this subject.

Actually i probably would, as i prefer the cleaner look.

I would also take the DBS badge off my Aston Martin, if i had one

But what i would never do is put a badge on a car that wasn't the car in question. The only time you can do this, i think, is when you have modded the car. For example, i saw in a magazine, that someone bought a 318i touring (e46) and then fitted the (e46) M3 running gear, but he still had the 318i badge on the back (with 4 exhausts) NOW THATS A SLEEPER!

Sleeper?? That sounds psycho. I can hardly imagine the cost of turning my little 4 cylinder putt-putt into an M3.

mine's a 135i and i ordered it de-badged. i personally think it looks cleaner, but i live in europe and i think that's a more common opinion here. besides, as someone else mentioned, it will be fun blowing the doors off unsuspecting victims in diesels and 2.0 liter/smaller cars, especially the audis :P
