135i Best Possible Mods!

Hey 1Addicts!

Last week I sold my G35 and purchased a 135I, and damn did I make a good choice. Loving the car, and now its time to put some work into it. I have a couple modifications in my mind to do first including interior, exterior and engine. I want some input before purchasing products. Below I have a list of the products I have looked at getting. If anyone has better products in their car or recommend something else let me know!

If I dont have a link its because I have found a website yet or I havent found the product yet!

For the engine parts I havent decided on any brands yet so comment with best brands possible, or bang for your buck!

Greatly Appreciated!!

I did the LUX H8 180s instead of the V5s only because they're brighter. Be careful. I had to improvise the wiring because BMW used very shitty insulation on inside the headlight assembly. So when I opened the back of the housing all the insulation was deteriorating. I know it's plug and play, but I wired it myself for the drivers side so I didn't have to pay 500 for a shop to do it. That's just my two cents when replacing the angel eye bulbs.

Happy modding

That Eonon GA6165 Android Car GPS Double Din looks neat, I didn't even know this existed.

Did you confirm that it fits in an E82? Only specifies E9X models, but I don't know whether or not it's a direct fit for the equipment between those models

Congrats dacosta135i on the purchase! Keep searching around this site, there is a lot of great info and people's experiences with different products. Here is my 2 cents on some of the things that I'm familiar with.

-The radio you linked is for 3 series, here is link with the radio for e82 (135i):

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1371480

Here is a video of it:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Qky...geIvkLYLg/view

I don't have any personal experience with the radio and I love the idea of a in dash screen for GPS, gauges etc. but I worry about the quality of a cheap no-name radio.

-Carbon trunk spoilers can be found on ebay for ~$150 Here is a thread about them (you might have to fish through it to see carbon ones)

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=877512

-Most people get blacklines from Schmiedmann, here is a thread all about them:

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=674384

-For you engine, a popular upgrade is a tune. The two most popular choices are JB4 or MHD flash.

Tune is by far the biggest mod. JB4, Dinan, COBB, MHD. This will transform your car.

I'd really research your double din idea because i don't know of very many people that have done it - very rare to mess with that.

Welcome!

If you're not dead set on carbon fiber for the rear lip you should check out these painted ones out of Taiwan for $88, they are fantastic for the price.

Great choice on the Lux, have a look T my DIY when they come in, as they can cause adaptive headlight errors. My DIY shows how to get around this.

A tune is the best way to get the most power from your car. If you want more, you can get downpipes and intakes, which open the turbos even more. I have tune, downpipes and an intake and it is a blast. Im getting a charge pipe and Intercooler to eventually run e85.

Looks like it, appears to be the same seller.

When I got mine I just went to the sellers web store and searched for 'e82' to see multiple listings for the spoiler

For back for the buck performance, consider VRSF.

They have Intake, Intercooler, Charge Pipe and Downpipes which are all very popular.

Also you may want to consider checking out the HPB 240W Angel Eyes, very bright and great price point, I have them on my personal car too.

Someone has the black lines LCI lights for sale on the classifieds for sale page for $200 shipped.
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1357409

As for the DCI, I say get the Burger Motorsports intake. MSG me and I can probably help you get them new for $100 shipped.

DP's, go for VRSF V2. Can cop them used on the classifieds for $250-300. Brand new is only $380ish so still not a bad deal.

VRSF charge pipe is $179 for the N54. Supposedly more consistent fit than Cobb.

I got some angel eye cree led bulbs off of Alibaba for $28 and them shits have done me solid. The inner lens is a bit brighter than the outside, but I can live with it for the cost I paid.

Tuner: Cobb or JB4

Intercooler - VRSF, ETS, ActiveAutowerke

Intake (i think you mean turbo inlets?) - VRSF

BOV - Stock divertor valves, or upgrade to Forge DV's

ChargePipe - VRSF

I recommend some downpipes too! Catless if you can do it

If you install cat-less down pipes, you will have to install the CEL eliminator kit, so you can pass inspection...but you're in Canada, so not sure...the bigger inter-cooler/intake along with the down pipes will enable you to go stage 2 on the tune, which can really give you some breakneck performance...
