Power kit with mods.
I found a power kit with a decent discount for my "09. I understand that the power kit is a mild tune. How does a power kit equipped car respond to additional mods such as intake and a cat back? I'm open to ideas.

As I understand the two versions, stage one is the cpu tune and stage two is the cpu and oil cooler and small radiator with a fan upgrade. I'd opt for just the cpu tune. Perhaps I'm mistaken in my understanding of the two stages.

Spin_dry > Nah, you're fine. That's exactly it. The PPK1 tune is only good for about 30hp -- pricey as well. If that's all you want them by all means.
Personally, I would opt for the JB4 or Cobb aftermarket tune. Less expensive, more options, more power, more potential, you can install/uninstall yourself, etc. In terms of response, you can get more out of your mods going aftermarket. |
