Grey stock wheels on VO (no gunmetal)
Rarely seen grey color of 1M stock wheels on a VO. When seen from a distance, it looks closer to black than to gunmetal.
Comparo with the M3 GTS wheels (1M stock wheels in black):

Is it me or that front wheel gap looks excessive in the VO 1M photos? Tire is stock size obviously. Maybe just the angle.

Thanks for this, I was thinking Gun Metal would be a great look and was considering, now I think not.
Maybe just they're dirtly. Never really got the whole Black wheel thing though. Think I'm the only one. |

Hold your horses ! I noted in the thread title that the 1M wheels pictured above are "no gunmetal" but rather "grey". I am by no means objective regarding this aspect, but if you consider gunmetal for a VO 1M, then have a look at the following thread: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=653581 And trust me, pictures don't do justice but get you an impression. IRL it's even better.

If you are, here is my car in Sydney with Gunmetal OEM rims. Car has had H&R sport springs fitted since these pix where taken, and now sits much lower, giving it a more aggressive stance.. Scroll down to post 414.. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...606023&page=19 |

Thanks Artemis and Zuzu,
You're right, gun metal looks great, funny how although they are a very similar shade, they can look quite different. Both of those with the GM wheels look excellent! Thanks for the welcome too, I am from Aust and have just picked up my AW 1M recently. Must be one of the few left to be sold new I'm thinking. Was going to post some impressions but need a few posts before I can, this is getting me there. Cheers guys. |

thanks Oystero, I'll check it out.
I'm in Melb also, but I won't continue to ruin this poor thread with my garble, I'll splash up a couple of pics and intro myself properly shortly. |
