History: I am the second owner. I purchased in Jul of 2014 from the original owner who meticulously cared for the car. This individual was extremely fastidious and kept the car in immaculate condition with copious records available to the buyer. They also purchased an extended BMW Platinum warranty which is still valid, and transferable, through March of 2016. This all translates to a car that has been maintained properly through BMW since new, and that care shines through in its current state.
In addition to the highlights listed above I also upgraded the car over my time of ownership. Each modification was made with great care as to not upset the great balance BMW engineered into the car, but rather enhance its capabilities or appearance. Suspension: Really the only aspect I found somewhat lacking in the stock car was the suspension. I wanted a more controlled feeling but most certainly wasn’t after a slammed or harsh ride and crashing over bumps or rubbing was not acceptable to me. So after much research I installed Bilstein B6 HD dampers all around paired with Swift Spec R coils. I paired the front springs with Dinan fixed camber plates and the rear with Dinan’s 10mm rear upper mount kit. This setup lowered the car very minimally, it sharpened up the chassis a great deal and at the same time was surprisingly more comfortable than my stock sports suspension. I also addressed the overly soft rear subframe bushings by replacing them with Whiteline’s full bushing kit. I upgraded the front tension struts (control arms) to Meyle HD (BMW OEM supplier) versions which sharpened up the steering feel. All of these parts were installed in the summer of 2015 and have less than 5,000 miles on them. I feel like these pieces truly transformed the car and gave it a very planted/connected feel. I truly believe this is the perfect setup for a sporty daily driver. Interior: The coral red interior is already pretty stunning so there was little to do to improve the interior. And while the poplar wood trim is warm and classy, I opted to carefully wrap it in a gloss carbon fiber vinyl which I feel better reflects the sporty nature of the car. This wrap can be very easily removed if so desired and the wood trim is still in excellent condition underneath. To compliment the carbon fiber trim I wrapped or replaced certain other trim pieces in genuine black Alcantara. These pieces include the instrument cover (a ’la the 1M), the arm rest, i-drive controller trim, and the stereo/HVAC trim. Also in Alcantara are the shifter and e-brake boot. Overall, I would rate the interior a 9.5/10. Very rarely is anyone even in the passenger seat, and no one has ever been in the back seat. Exterior: At great expense to me I retrofitted genuine BMW LCI adaptive xenon headlights to give the car a more updated look up front. Suntek window tint was also installed along with a shadowline rear trunk emblem to complement the existing shadowline trim. To further the theme I added smoked LED side markers. A genuine M-Sport rear bumper and diffuser were also installed along with a JBSpeed carbon fiber rear trunk spoiler. The exterior is in terrific overall shape for the mileage. There are a few small imperfections which are expected of a 7 year old car but they are minimal and minor. I would rate the exterior a 9/10. Maintenance Items: Brand new Meyle & Textar (both BMW OEM suppliers) rotors, pads and pad sensors, front and rear, installed in Aug of 2015 with less than 3,000 miles on them. Oil changed at 5k intervals. The car is up to date with all of its maintenance and needs nothing. Tons of documentation dating back to delivery is available. What’s included in the price: All the items outlined above. Most were just installed this past summer and totaled over $7,000 parts and labor. Given these extras, the condition of the car, the rarity of the 6 speed/coupe combo on the 128, the desirable coral red interior, the history, and warranty coverage, I think the asking price is extremely fair and I am 100% confident the next owner will cherish the car as much as I have. The car currently sits on BMW Style 262 wheels with 205/50/17 Michelin X-Ice XI3 Winter Tires with less than 1,000 miles on them. Wheels do have some superficial curb rash on them and could use a nice detailing but are straight and true. Not included in the price but available: There are a few big ticket items which are not included in the base price above but are available to the buyer. Before I part them out to the rest of the community I want to give the prospective buyer the first shot at them given the time & hassle it would take me to uninstall and/or ship them. They are: -Apex Arc-8 18x8.5et45 Hyper Silver w/ 235/40ZR-18 Hankook Ventus V12 evo (w/ TPMS sensors). Wheels all in great shape with no curb rash. Tires estimated to have 60% tread left. +$1,250 if you want both the Apex and winter wheels. +$750 if you only want the Apex wheels -Space Grey M-Sport/135i front bumper cover with custom side grille inserts. I picked up two extra center mesh sections and modified them to fit the two side intakes so all three openings match. Condition is solid for a front bumper with 30k miles. No serious scrapes or defects, no cracks, just normal minor road rash. I’d rate it an 8.5/10. +$250 If you choose either the Apex wheels or the M-Sport front bumper, I will re-install before delivery. There are some other extras available but they are also being offered to the rest of the community. So if you want them packaged together with the car, act fast! See my FS thread here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...6#post19268176 The car is in excellent condition, needs nothing, and is one of the very best cars I have ever owned. It has been extremely fun and dead reliable for me over the past 18 months. It has been adult owned, never been tracked, never been raced, always garaged under my ownership, fully detailed inside and out quarterly, sealed with Klasse products bi-annually, and just all around lovingly cared for. Selling because I have been bitten by the P-car bug, and the fever has set in. In a perfect world I would keep the 128 but that just isn’t in the cards at the moment. This car is spec’d for an enthusiast and I hope to see it go to an enthusiast who appreciates the classic BMW formula it represents of NA inline 6, manual, rear-drive, hydraulic steering, coupe. Pics to come.

I too have met the owner and the car. Definitely as described. He has kept great care and put a very meticulous effort into the upgrades as he has personally educated me on different aspects. Worth pursuing if interested.

Nice car. Love the Alcantara and Carbon touches. Did you do any posts or how to on those?
This thing has all the changes you would want. VERY NICE!!! If the new buyer foolishly skips on the PE or the Arc 8's I'd be interested.

As far as the carbon pieces, I had absolutely nothing to do with that other than whipping out my credit card. Andy @ carbonfibermods' craftsmanship is responsible for the interior trim. It is seriously gorgeous stuff in person. Thanks for the interest in the PE and wheels. I've sold off some of my extras already but some of the bigger ticket items like the wheels, m-sport front bumper, carbon trim, PE, I'd like to give the potential buyer first crack at. Whatever, if any, are left over after the sale I will put it out there. Thanks

See above for my response on things like the M-Sport front bumper. It is available but not included in the base price. Holding off on unloading it (and the wheels, carbon trim, pe) until the buyer of the car picks what they do and do not want. Mini is nice, but the 1 is the small BMW with the power going to the right end Thanks

Not that you'd need it with this reliable car but 2 months of BMW warranty left on this! Someone should jump on it!
I think this is a heck of lot of car for the money. We can mix and match some extras to move the price up or down a bit, I'm flexible.

Updated OP with pics of the steering wheel which is included with the car. It is a lovely low mileage sport wheel. To better match the rest of the Alcantara accents, I wrapped the steering wheel trim in matching Alcantara.
BTW, I'm am open to reasonable offers on the car. Worst I can do is say no.
