Also, if you don't mind me asking, who did the tint and what did you think of them? I'm still debating the decision to tint or not but I'm looking for good places in Austin in case I decide to do it.
Sunbusters on 183 and Duval. They do great work. It's my 5th or 6th car that they've done. I also had them hardwire my radar detector--super clean install.

Thanks. I hadn't heard of them but a quick search is bringing up good things. I'll have to check them out.

I was a little scared after I ordered the SGM, and a lot of posts saying it was a bad or boring color. My present car is comparable to the titanium silver, and I wanted to go darker. These pics have me well assured SGM is what I really wanted and glad I did it..Fantastic looking car, and can't wait for my coupe. Should be a couple of weeks...Nice ride, enjoy safely..........

I have a question.

Isn't it dangerous for convertibles not to have the roll over bar behind the headrest?

What if this convertible flips over? What is holding the car up?

^^ see the things behind the rear head rests? those pop up when a roll over is detected...as far as I know...

I think those grills will be my first mod. They look fantastic.
The sun is out and here are the distance shots you requested plus one of the brake caliper. It looks SGM too.

Amesome, awesome, awesome. Thanks Texas. I would have been so pissed if I had bought a 335 Cabrio last year.
Did you have the grills done or was it DIY?

Tex I just want to say again what an absolutely gorgeous car you have. I mean absolutely incredible looking. Your car is the poster child for the "Buy a Vert!" cause. Very Very nice. I just hope my 135i Vert in JB can look as good.

Thanks for all the nice compliments. I really love driving this rocket. The grills are a simple DIY. 10 minutes once I found the right tools!

Today I drove my neighbor's E46 M3 Vert and it was pretty sweet. The torque comes on later than it does in the 135i and the clutch is heavier than in my car. I always wanted to drive one. Of course I like mine better--its new and all mine. His M3 was top of the heap when it first came out. He then drove my 135i and said "wow, with a Dinan tune this might give me a serious run". I'm sure it will! Keep in mind that he didn't "get on it" or take it over 4500 rpms. He's got 2 BMWs in his garage and he's a fan of the 135i. He's a cool guy and he'll be taking delivery of a black on black 2008 M3 Coupe next month. V8 rumble across the street!

If your friend thinks you need a Dinan tune to give him a run, he may want to research some numbers starting with this

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=125908

As far as I can see, he's the one that may need the Dinan tune

I was on the fence about getting the shadowline grill but after seeing your pics I am definitely there.

Congrats on a beautiful car!

These pictures ARE 'Dirty', in a good way.
I can't stop looking at them, and I feel guilty doing so. Don't know why.

My pictures from PCD are coming too.

Texas - Incredible pictures, and I'm extremely jealous (almost wish I got SGM as well). Can't wait for my 135i (cashmere silver) vert to arrive (waiting for transport to port). Are the shadowline grills ordered through the dealer? When they talk about shadowline trim in the premium or sport packages, do they include the grills, or do you have to order those separately?
