alibaba222 > I recently got mine on ebay NEW for $25 > OEM. I see some on there now for like $40-$50.

Keep in mind though (not sure what year your car is), that at certain point they changed the housing on those 3rd brake lights. My car is a '09.

Prior to picking one up on e-bay, I ordered it straight from BMW. I'm 100% sure I got the right part number (trust me on this). Anyways, when I compared it to the one I removed, it was different. Long-story-short, the newer lights don't pop right in. When you remove the broken light, there is a small tab on the chassis/trunk that needs to be filed down. You'll also need to sand the light housing a bit (small section in the middle), in order for it to fit. The problem will become apparent once you try to put the new light in.

Not saying this is going to be your case, but if you have trouble -- don't waste time thinking you got the wrong light. I spent two weeks figuring this out. LMAO!

Good luck man.

Tuned are you saying the eBay light will be plug and play? Or will the same filing and sanding need to be done?

cbl117 > Even the ebay lights you have to modify. Like I mentioned (at some point), they changed the designed of the light housing. Due to that, the new lights that are available (both at the dealer or ebay) -- need a little adjusting to go in.

The issue is literally at the center of the light. Here I found a good DIY, he covers it all
