My Winter Choice...
Just FYI...
I MIGHT go with a slightly lower profile and wider tire. 50 series is a little flexy for winters... .

Cheap enough that I don't care in winter... and potholes aren't as deadly with snowfall
Too tall tires 50 (!) are bad for highway lane changing. Winter tall tires are usually too soft... my opinion anyway.

Yeah, the 135 coupe is hers. I have a 128 vert which will be garaged for winter. The e39 540 already has Dunlop SnowSport M3s from last year.
I'm probably going to order 215/45-17 for her. After taxes and all that jazz, it's $1362.

Isn't a delivery date after 10/30 kind of late for T.O.?

10/30 isn't bad. By then the temps should still be above 5c with no snow. It usually rains around that time.

The delivery is usually good too. About 5 working days.
It's interesting that you would still have above 5 degree days because we have quite a few sub 5 degree mornings by mid-to late October in Vancouver.

Closer to water means more temperate, not colder. And, you seem to have a big body of water near you as well.

Excuse my ignorance. Isn't it generally cooler the closer you are to the coast?

I checked their website today and I saw these wheels too
what interests me is the "Ice coating" on these wheels? Is that something that the other wheels don't have ? Although Oct 30 maybe pushing it for use in Edmonton.... But they are cheap and actually look better than the Sport Edition that everyone is going with.

Neat. So cooler in summer, warmer in winter.
Anyway, worst case she drive the 540 with winters and I'll work from home the frosty days till tires arrive...

Actually, large bodies of water usually make it so it's not as cold during the winter and not as hot during the summer. It keeps you from the extremes.

I was looking at these wheels too, but decided on the Machined SE F10, 17/50/225's dunlop 3D non runflats + continental tire plug kit
