Yup, I told you it was expensive. If I didn't get it for half price, I never would have bought the thing. It looks better than the P3 gauge, but thats about the only reason its better.

Can you describe the install of the AWRON Data Display Gauge? Do you plug a connector to an existing harness or do you have to run all the individual lines from gauge to the devices/functions the gauge is monitoring?

A connector runs to the back of the unit. The other ends have pins on them. You have to run one wire to a connector under the steering wheel and the other set to the CAN connector on the passenger side nearest the passengers left shin. Once the wires are there, you must pull the pins of specific wires, and replace them from the pins of your AWRON wiring harness. The pins you pulled out of the connector go into the splice connectors pre-installed on the wiring harness.

Piggybacks will have an issue on 135 models since the DME is seeing manipulated values in order to drive more boost.

335s are fine, as they can use the M3 version which uses analog inputs for Boost/IAT. If there is considerable interest, we can see about applying this to the E82 models also.

Total connection consists of 4 wires:

+12V positive
Ground

CAN H
CAN L

Total install time is about an hour, very simple for the DIYer. All connectors come with correct pin terminals so no cutting/splicing is needed.

1K is a crazy price. That is 1/52nd the cost of my 135is. Sick but looks good.. lol
