Stohlen's Alpine White 2008 135i - Progressive Build Thread

Gonna use this as my progressive build thread as I modify the car. I plan on using this as my toy for hopefully the rest of my lifetime... modifying it till i'm happy with what i've got and likely changing things all the time.

Most recently I've bought some Forgestar Wheels which I had made to Apex Arc-8 sizing to max out the height and width of tires I can fit on the car. Stage 2 tunes seem to be roasting the rear tires in 1st and 2nd gear when you get in it hard, and I don't like to pedal the throttle if I don't have too. So before going full E-85, i wanted to get some more traction. That meant stickier tires and an LSD.

77K miles. 6 Speed. Nav. Mods below.

Exterior
Blackline LCI Tail Lights
Shadowline package
BMW Performance Carbon Fiber Spoiler - Painted Black
BMW Performance Side Skirts
6000K HIDs w/ LED 6000K Halos
Smoked LED Side Lamps

Interior
Tint - 35% All Around
BMW Performance Shift Boot and Knob
AWRON Data Display Gauge
M Door Sills

Engine
Cobb AP V2
Cobb Stepped FMIC
BMS Catless Downpipes
Berk Street Exhaust
BR Racing 3.46 LSD In BMW Housing

Suspension
M3 Front 4 Arm Kit and Hardware (Control Arms)
M3 Rear Subframe Bushings
M3 Rear 4 Arm Kit And Hardware (Control Arms)
Dinan Camber Plates

Wheels and Tires
Forgestar CF5 Wheels (18x8.5 +45 and 18x9.5 +62)
Dunlop Direzza ZII Tires (245/40 and 285/30)

From the day I bought it, to now:

Just installed a set of AluFelgen CS7 Gunmetal Wheels with Nitto NT05 tires. 245/40/18s in front and 265/35/18s in the rear. Fronts rub ever so slightly on full lock turns, but not enough to even be heard. Haven't fully tested it on hard bumps but it looks good so far. Pictures tomorrow.

Front tires rub on fenders without pulling them/rolling at stock suspension height. They also rub ever so slightly on full lock turns on the plastic fender liners. Rear tires do not rub at all at stock suspension height.

Quick update, I'm switching to 225/40/18s in the front for now, the 245s hit too much fender and I dont wanna be constantly touching up paint. The 265s in the rear have not once rubbed anything yet, and since I already oversteer on corners, loosing a little bit of tire patch up front won't really matter.

Latest Update:

My 135i, like almost everyone elses with a significant amount of use, had the common steering wheel trim peeling issue. I hated seeing my car damaged, and thought that the underlying plastic wasn't a bad look. So I spent probably 4 hours peeling away the coating with my finger nails and finally got it all cleaned up, cleaned the residue away with some goo gone and polished it with a mild plastic polish. This was the outcome:

Then literally less than 24 hours later, I spotted a piece of overlayed carbon fiber trim listed for an E90/E92 on ebay with a small imperfection for $60 bucks. The carbon fiber was a little scuffed under the clear coat at the very bottom of the piece. It was real carbon fiber overlaid on a stock piece and quite well done really other than the imperfection. I just threw up a bid for $61 bucks not at all expecting to win it, but I ended up winning anyways. So 4 hours work for nothing haha. Installed it today:
