What LSDs fit the e82?
I'm dying to get an LSD in my car, I just like sideways. 2013 n55 manual, what are my options for LSDs that aren't over $1k? I'd like to find one used, or even pull one from another model that will bolt in. Has anyone done this?

Through the minimal, osmosis-like research I've done on diffs, it's not easy doing it under 1k. I do think you can use an M3 one, but that requires M3 axles and hubs, or you buy a LSD unit that drops into your stock 135i carrier.
But do let me know if I'm wrong and find a good deal on a tire-roastomatic

contact Matt Whitbread at Whitbread Performance. His shop is in Michigan.
Either pull your diff and send him the core, or buy a donor diff core and send it to him. He will build you a wavetrac LSD, and ship it back to you. I've used him for my 335d build as well as my new 135 build. I'd add diff bushings while you have the diff out of the car as well. He can add a proper drain plug to the diff for a small fee. |
