x6 v8 in 135i

BMW should have squeezed the new FI TT v8 in the 135i if they meant business.

Did you read SCOTT26's recent post in another thread? He hints that there will be a 1er performance model above the 135i. : -)

I interpreted that as the Tii, but boy will i be excited with a 145i or whatever the displacement the v8 is.

You fellas are nuts!!! A 135i with that engine is a pipe dream. It would be faster than the E92 M3. Plus Scott said that the current 333hp Z4-M engeine is too heavy...I can imagine that TT V8 weighs more.

He said a base performance... maybe a stripped down lighter turbo 4. He also said something above a 135... probably just a 135 CSL... carbon fiber, more boost from factory.

The 4.4TT absolutely would not fit in a 135. Even if you took the turbos out from the V and put them on the sides, I dont think it would fit.

I am not even sure if the 4.0 V8 would fit in a 135. Also, I cant say for sure but the 4.0 V8 and the Z4M I6 probably weigh close to eachother. So if the I6 is too heavy the V8 would be as well.

Scott also had a quote regarding the possibility for the existing engine to put out more power. That may be the model above the 135i. Possibly a couple bigger snails, and a tune.

I would think the Tii is going to be the lightweight version, meaning likely a tweaked (possibily turbo) 4 cylinder.

+1 more or less what I was thinking. and I'd almost grantee the m3 V8 would fit its lighter and shorter than the S54 only issue would be width.

The "Sport" button would have to be renamed to the "Deficate" button. Every time you push it, you end up deficating yourself.

I know there's not really a sport button.

I don't know...I'm interested in seeing if they do something more. They might, retune for more power, a 4 cylinder would be fucking cool (I'd still take the 135, <3 tq) but you really think that's going to happen?
