Let's install the BMW Stainless Pedal Kit
I am moving to a new host for my site and do not want to go through all my posts to keep images. As a result, I have converted this post into a PDF you can download.

What he said. The 135i is indeed a hot-rod, quite possibly hotter than a stock E46 M3, however, BMW has not badged the 135i as an 'M'-car, it is offered with 'M' improvements.

Here is a pic of the M dead pedal.
Let me know if you would be interested in one. The dead pedal is not too expensive, $61 retail. BMW does ask for an interior code though which may mean it is more than just an overlay. I am not sure if it would work in the 1 either. The M thing is my own personal preference. The one on the shift knob is already gone from my car and I will wait a bit to deal with the one on the steering wheel. It is just not my thing. An M on the dead pedal is much better than slapping an M on the back of the car though. |

I installed the pedals this morning (after having them sitting in my house for a few days). The throttle is a piece of cake compared to the other two pedals. The clutch and brake were a PITA. However, if you install them as you suggest here and in the included instructions it goes pretty quickly.
They look great. Pleasure doing business with you. :w00t:

Recently installed stainless pedals, I have an auto, so brake and throttle only. I struggled with the brake for longer that I like to admit, the stainless cover kept coming off and was difficult to reinstall on the rubber pad itself. I than decided to use soapy water (dish soap) and it slipped right on. When it dries it leaves behind no residue.
BTW, I have the M-sport package with the above dead pedal and they match very well. |

Hi all!
I want to install pedals kit on my 135i Do you know if for the accelerator pedal it's necessary to disconnect the battery? (My 135i is in automatic, only 2 pedals for information...) Thank you |

Over here on this side of the pond allot of euro bimmers that have some type of M bits and pieces will have some sort of M badging. Just like the "M" sport (bits and pieces) on the 135i. I've actually seen it in the normal spot it's just usually a sticker not a actual "badge". Good DIY by the way, I may have to look into adding these pedals myself.

I know it is an old thread, but I am looking to get these pedals for my 335i. The car is an AT. Can anyone tell me if the kickdown mode would still work with the new pedals?
Thanks a lot for the DIY! |

I am assuming kick down is the small button after you depress the pedal all the way to go into overdrive? Yes it still works. I have a 3rd party aluminum pedal set and it works just fine. No problems.
