New wheels solution finally!
I decided today that custom wheel is the only way I am going to sort out my wheel dilemma. There wasn't anything on the market that fits my camber and required width. So today I ordered a custom Simmons wheels. They aren't light, but at least I get the size I want and need. I could have gone for the lighter option which is a BBS race wheel, but at $2k a wheel I politely declined.
Anyway, for anyone who wants the widest wheel you can fit in your 1 series or if you have -3 degrees camber like me and struggle to fit any aftermarket wheel, go and see Peter West from Mag Wheels centre. Nice guy. Oh and if anyone wants to buy my factory 135i wheels or a set of Morr forged wheels I have coming (which probably won't fit anymore because of my camber), please let me know! |

Ok what do you guys think of the looks of the two wheels below. Which would you go for? Those are my two options (I am going with black btw): or |

WAY. I'm not a fan of the 'dot effect', whatever it's called. But don't let that distract you. Even if they're both black, I still prefer the bottom ones,

Why? Fronts can get damaged just as easily as rears can? Why don't you both get a front and a rear each and we have solved everyone's problems!

hahaha good point way...
i was thinking the front (specifically front w/o scratch?) , if im using it as a spare (as in taking it with my on long trips) id take the front because its smaller... hmm but if the price is right..................lol but the one you curbed gets a discount i presume :iono: |

Way..go for the bottom ones. I too was on the GB for the Morr's and it got shelved. I instead opted for 3-piece Forged from Vorsteiner (V302's)
. The cost is twice as much but at least they are made specifically for me(choose your finish on all 3 pieces) AND I dont have to worry about waiting on a group buy. I also dont plan on buying another set anytime soon. |

mmm, interesting, I've kept an eye on what Simmons have been doing with wheels for over 20 years and visited their ever changing shop locations on many occaisions and sorry to say WAY, never been a fan...
Simply put, I find their wheels to be too pricey for what they offer and don't really like any of their styles, which have been incredibly limited or not much to choose from, which is a bit dissapointing considering how long they've been in the game...I believe their B45 line from the '80's is still going They seem to boost wheel choices by selling other brands along side their own and at much dearer prices than you can get them elsewhere Anyway as a choice of the 2 styles you've pictured above, I'd go with the mesh, since a mesh style wheel seems to always go well with Beemers  |
