aFe Exhaust with Videos!!

i'm back from aFe, they installed the exhaust (it is still a prototype) and let me tell you it sounds DOPE!! it's not SUPER LOUD but you can really tell it's not the stock exhaust anymore and on the freeway there is NO drone and isn't annoying at all, you can't even really tell it's there with the windows rolled up but roll them down and you find yourself punching it every chance you get. they want me to run with it for a while as well as show you guys so i can give them feedback on it. the design is like BERK's where its a straight pipe from the axel back but they added a side chamber to help tone down the noise level and vibrations. since it is still a prototype they will shorten the chamber length depending on feedback to change the tone and gains from it, the final production models will come with black tips as well. everyone there was really nice and i'm glad they listened to my input on it because the tips on it now are 10000X better than the original one tip squarish style. they took a bunch of pics and videos as well as dyno runs and those should be up soon. i met the owner and he was really cool and was really into BMW's (he has like 5, 3 of them M's), he told them to pull an intake system and air scoops so they could dyno it with the exhaust (and let me have them ) but the weather was a bit warm and the computer froze up so they where only able to get runs with the exhaust on. until pics and vids are up, here's a teaser pic and dyno results from their first prototype (with replacement drop in filter NOT intake system)...

I have the Dinan exhaust and was talking to a friend about it yesterday. He stated that he recognized the small cut-out on the buttom of the outer exhaust tube as something that Borla used to do on their exhaust tips to reduce decelleration popping and to controll backpressure.

remember guys it's still the prototype installed on my car so revisions can still be made to it and when released they will have black tips.
