Intake/Downpipe warranty question
If I put in the BMS dual cone intake and catless DPs and I have any engine or drivetrain related issues, will BMW honor the warranty without me having to have it taken out?

Each dealership is different. If you have a warranty issue you need to find out if your local dealership will allow you to put the car back to stock for a serious warranty repair. How you exactly do this, I'm really not sure. But most likely you will have to go back to stock.
Next time your at your local dealership ask your service advisor and let us know what he/she says.

My dealer is a Dinan-authorized shop, they saw my intake and didn't care. As long as the issue is not related to the mods, you're ok.
e.g. if i rolled into the dealer, car on a flatbed, with water in my engine you can be sure they will deny any warranty claim.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=215590 this is not a yes or no question and coolness of the dealer only goes so far. BMW has a system to flag all modded and suspected modded cars. The short answer is it depends on what is wrong with the engine and could the mod of caused the problem. don't guess. dont trust 1 or 2 posts. you need to research. the worng advise could cost you $1000's.
