Thank you for the pictures Scott.

Does this mean there will be an all cloth and manual seat option in the US? This would be great news as opposed to the still half leather option that is the closest we are allowed on the M3.

+1, I envy the cloth interiors that are available in Europe.

The seats look the same as the ones I had in my '08 135. For some reason I thought they would more closely resemble the seats in a M3.

+1 to cloth seats!

rear track definitely looks wide! Nice!

edit: cloth seats look cheap... can't even compare to the ones I have in my M3.... which look prestine!

1. 7500+ redline. Ut ow, the engine has been underestimated by some folks around here. Not just an iS transplant!

2. Kinda disappointed with the seats - they don't look very sports/supportive. I like those seats in some pics here - with one piece back/integrated headrest area and 3/5 point belt holes through shoulders. You can't do REAL driving while bracing your leg against the door/tunnel.

Then how will you get your 2.5 kids in and out of the back with car seats?

That's what the wife's E90 335i is for, but you over-counted the offspring anyway in my case . . .

BUT, don't they lean forward anyway? Or are the TRULY one piece?

Good progress pics. I trust there are refinements we've yet to see. Making me want one...except for cloth seats. Had those on my VW Passat but love my leather seats in the 1!

I think those are still the test mules, so I would imagine (hope) those are not the final seats.

That 7500 RPM red line looks mighty fine, but I just went and looked at my 135 and it seems that the red line just continues from 8-7k with a small divider in the middle.

So I guess we shouldn't get too excited yet.

I don't think we can know this yet. The picture is cropped perfectly so that if the next red line were there we couldn't see it.

Not a fan of the cloth seats, would rather have bucket seats without the head rest riser. Seats look like my STI which isn't a good thing, needs more side support. Instrument panel looks O.K. I really hope it gets an M-trim and the interior is still a test mule because this interior is comparable to an Evo X

Found one on Car and Driver's site. At 7500 there's a white bar sticking out.

Interior looks like Ka ka.

The seats look bland. ZHP seats, M3 seats, and 335 sport seats look better. Even E46 sport seats look better. This vehicle is beginning to impress me less and less.

7500k RPM isnt bad. The nice wide track is enough to make me not want to modify anything about the wheels or spacing/offsets.

I'd love an engine that pulled to 7500, super sporty seats, a basic interior, <= 3300lbs, <= $45k, and Euro Delivery.

Even if they bump the redline to 7500 doesn't really mean much. The current iS engine's HP peak is at 5900, so they could bump it to 6400 (where you should shift), and bump the redline (uselessly for performance, handy for marketing, potentially damaging/wearing on engines) to 7500.
