TR motorsports C2 Picture request

Does anyone have these wheels on their car? I am on the fence about them, and want a 17" wheel combo for All Season tires in the PNW for the fall/winter/spring months. I have a SGM 135i and would like to see the a picture of the gray painted TR Motorsports C2 wheels on a 1er to "seal the deal"! Thanks in advance!

thanks. did you need a thin spacer in the front, or did it clear the strut? hows it working out in the back? looks like you have a stock-ish ride height, which i'm sure helps.

no spacer needed for stock suspension or even if you would be running different strut. with coil over you might need some spacer to clear the collar. There is plenty space to go outside about 5-8 mm.

The rear is tight, I needed a slight roll. With lower ride either more camber will be needed or more aggressive roll. I am actually going to get the car re-aligned with more camber in rear as I am still rolling over at the auto-x.
I would love -3* up front but I am maxed out on the plates, and unless I go with M3 parts or coils I will not be able to get more. Sadly neither is an option as the car is a lease and will be returned in less than a year.

cool. thanks for the info. i dont know if you do your own work, but if you do, you should consider the m3 front wishbone link. it's a cake install (though it requires an alignment... not many people want to DIY an alignment), and i'm sure you'd have no problem finding a buyer to get most of your money back in a year when its time to return the car... or you could just return it with the links still in if you're lazy... they'd never notice that.

It is an awesome car, and with few grands invested in it it would be hard to reckon with. However, my family grew and I need to invest into more family friendly car that is new and the money I've put away for modification of this car will be used to purchase an older vehicle and turn it into auto-x / track toy. I've it narrowed down to either early model Honda s2000 or e36 m3. I will sure miss this car though and I know it'll be hard to part with in a year .

My lease is up end march next year. If I'll go for e36 m3 I am keeping them as the offsets and size works perfectly. Summers will definetly be worn out by the end of the seasons I will trow on a fresh winter set.

since you are exprienced with these wheels, i am actually looking for track wheels and these actually look attractive. i just saw them on tirerack and the price is not bad. could you possibly please recommend me some tires? i want to know what sized tires i should go with for the stock suspension (135 m-sport).

Possibly staggered since i do not have coils and camber plates.

For a completely stock setup, you can go 235/40/17 all around. I know alot of people will recommend going bigger for the rears, but with a square setup, you can rotate your tires so they can last longer. Also, a square setup *should* reduce some understeer the car naturally has. See my thread here.

Sorry for the threadjack.

yes, this thread went way off topic, sorry OP.

255 in rear needed a roll, 235 will fit without without an issue, and some 245 will work as well.

I am not sure about front as I threw these on with every intention to put as much rubber up front. 235 might work or at the worst you might have to pull the pin to get .5* more camber.

I am on my 3rd set of the Star Spec. Last set lasted about 8k miles. I am hoping this one will last longer as I can rotate them. running 225/255 last year, i ruined front tires way before rears were bold. So this is my recommendation when it comes to tires. I did 5 HPDE last year and about 5 auto-x sessions. I already did 3 auto-x this year, and I will probably do about 10-15 by the end of the year. I have 3 day of track booked in August, but I want to do an event before and after as well.
