BMW 1-series Coupe and BMW 1-series Cabrio exclusive undisguised on photo shoot.

Here is the new 2011 BMW 1er Coupe and BMW 1er Cabrio caught exclusively on a photoshoot showcased is the 120d Cabrio in Vermillion Red and Alpine White BMW 135i Coupe.

1-series LCI changes include updated LED technology in the front headlights and tail lights. New eyebrows adorn the front headlights and the revised tail lights feature light bars. Reprofiled front bumpers are also part of the LCI changes. These lights will also be featured on the upcoming 1 series M coupe.

Full details of the LCi 1er Coupe and Cabrio will be released , early December.
Followed by the BMW 1M Coupe and BMW 1er Coupe Active eDrive prior to their World debut at the NAIAS in Detroit , this January.

I do not read German but the cars look the same as the 2008 – 2010 1 series. So I do not understand why “BMW 1er Coupe and BMW 1er Cabrio exclusive undisguised on photo shoot” would be a big deal.

Enlighten me.

The headlights (which I can pick out) and tail lights are supposed to be different. But otherwise I agree, doesn't look different than the current models. Maybe if the camera angles were better or they were next to current models the differences would be more obvious.

At least I'm hoping that I'm not turning into one of those people that claim to see no difference between the e90 and e90 LCI....

Take a look at the belt line on the back of the car. It wraps around to the trunk now. The rear fenders seem slightly fatter too, but not to the extent of the 1M's fatty fenders.

As mentioned, the front fender on the cabrio is very different, and the headlights have a line of leds or a light bar at the top.

Me too. I'm disappointed as well. I was also hoping they would give the LCI led halos since the brow supposedly has an LED bar across the top.

I cant tell what the LED part of the head or tail lamps is supposed to be. The corona rings and turn signals look the same. Is it just some extra lighting in the eyebrow?

Happy with fronts, pleased to see the 135i has the better headlight washers.

Tail lights hardly look any different. I just wish they had got rid of the white/silver band at the bottom so they more red like 3er LCI and new 5er.

Headlights, side mirrors, and the cab has the same front as the Eactive car. There'll probably be small updates we can't see, but not the biggest overhaul....

1 wth? Why'd the 1er get short changed. Next to 3's and M's we are the most passionate about our BMWs. They screw us around w/the slowest reveal in history and then short change the LCI. Booo! Boo I say.
