Car Magazine UK
What do you lot think of the 1M/RS3 comparison in today's Car magazine?
[1M maybe best driver's choice - but a bit hairy, RS3 best overall for most people] I'm still sticking with the 1M!! |

If I'd have the money, I'd get RS3 as daily ride, and 1M for track, snow and powerslide-fun. (basically the same conclusion as Car Magazine) But I'm not loaded, so I'll "have to live with just" the 1M as daily driver, as well as fun and track car. Comparing 1M to RS3 makes perfect sense. |

Interest review with some good information.
What I read from it maybe is that the 1M would definitely be a more rewarding track day car to have but might be a bit unsettled on everyday road surfaces. Two good cars to choose from depending what your priorities are. The 1M definitely looked more special though but the RS3 did have an air of class about it. |

I think what the author means is that the RS3 is a better all rounder given the space, AWD, etc. Not that it is 'unsettled" If you are looking for a more 'emotional' driving experience the 1M is the choice.

What I found most odd was some of the 1M descriptions are almost identical to those found in the review from Automobile mag -- e.g. wipers on side windows, interaction between torque and DSC, and twitchy steering feedback.
In any event, the RS3 sounds like a very good car. |
